Went here for my daughters graduation dinner. I always wanted to try Ethiopian food. Glad I finally did! Our server gave us suggestions on what we should order our first time. All of the food was very good. We overall had a wonderful time. I definitely plan to go back.

I have never had Ethiopian food before in my life. This experience was life altering. In these times what can bring a person immense joy is a really really great meal, really great friends and a meal made to make all my sadness leave my body for a day. My experience here made my day and I even doordashed it the next night. Complements to the chef. I will never forget what my taste buds experienced here. The vegan platter gave you a whole variety of the dishes to try and I filled myself to the absolute brim shoveling them in my mouth lol. Had a blast !!

Worst restaurant. The front desk staff behaved very poorly and showed no respect to customers. The service was disappointing, and the overall experience was unpleasant. I would not recommend this place

First time I've visited Walia was over a decade ago...

3.5 *** rounded to 3 ***

They were out of several items on the menu. Not sure what's going on. I understand being out off one or two items, bet several? that's a bit discouraging for repeat customers and also hard to recommend Walia to other folks.

Not a whole lot has changed. The service has gotten a lot better. It's much more timely, gone is the lengthy arduous wait I experienced in the past. The venue does feel a bit older, slightly more aged than before. Parking can be a bit challenging as there are several new businesses that opened up in the plaza. I don't remember the outdoor seating, a welcome addition.

Walia still gets crowded, and the food was still good.

#WaliaCombo:
~ Larry Page Combo - 4/5
A healthy amount of food. Initially it doesn't look like a lot, however when you dig in, you start to realize how filling the combo is. Everything was tasty and had a good amount of flavor. The Lamb was our favorite, followed by the Chicken, while the Beef was a bit overcooked.

~ Bethe Honey Wine - 3/5
I can't do the stuff this sweet anymore. It's tasty, but a sip or two is all I can do. Tastes exactly as described

See you again in a decade or so Walia...lol

Food was delicious and came out within estimated timing. We ordered to go and the food was piping hot, my kids devoured the veggie combo and beef tibs!

Really fast service on off-time Sunday (took 5 minutes for my food to come out at 2pm).

Everything was hot and tasty. Definitely hits the spot for ethiopian cravings.

I got the 3 meat combo that comes with the veggie platter. Enough food for two.

Wonderful hole in the wall in a rough neighborhood, but hey once you sit down and try their food nothing really matters.
They have an easy and simple way to have larger groups order and the food all shared.
The prices are acceptable for the quality.
The service could use a bit of improvement but after all we were served and left fully satisfied.

We'll be back for sure and will bring friends to enjoy more meals.

Food was pretty decent. For some reason the combos are named after tech founders. I tried the house combo and the Zuckerberg combo which was pretty good.

The service could be better. The waiter was not in the best of mood and he was throwing the napkins on the table instead of laying them on which I found pretty disrespectful. Anyway they need some good staff.

The restaurant itself is in a strip mall with questionable businesses surrounding it. I would not recommend going here with family.

Delicious and flavorful food!
We got the Ethiopian feast (veggie combo for 2) with an added side and it was more than enough for 2! We could choose 6 veggie dishes with the Ethiopian feast and 5$ extra for an added side. We loved sigo (spicy tomato), mushroom, and red lentils. The cabbage potato and carrot was also good. Beet was great but on the sweeter side which didn’t match the palate for us. Chickpea one was decent. The split pea one could have been more flavorful.
Service is slow and it’s more on the casual side where you order from phone and pay at the counter. But food was tasty and satisfying, and we felt very full without the heaviness.

Their food is pretty good. The service is bad. Very bad. Usually nobody shows up for a while. When they do, orders are served in any random order and it's very slow.

Today, we were sitting half an hour before the server came to tell us they were out of shiro. Then 45 minutes in we got our drinks and water. 1 hour before our food arrived.

Next table sat down after us. Got their waters and drinks in 10 minutes and food before our drinks arrived and they were done before our food arrived. It's bizarre and very random.

I'd order takeout from here as food is good but service is severely lacking.
