Wine was pretty good but pizza wasn't

This is my local post-work happy hour spot. Not much to choose from on the Alameda. Great beers on tap. Service depends on the day. A little dingy, more divey than expected but it seems cleaner these days than a year ago. Food could be a lot better. I’ve ordered charcuterie boards where they were out of a few items and didn’t mention it, and the nachos were awful. Can’t go wrong with tater tots. Love the all day HH on Wednesdays I believe, it’s a great deal but I wish the food was better. Can’t speak too much to the wines.

Great location! First time here & I strongly recommend it. We had wine & a hummus plate and a cheese & meat board. There was plenty to share & it was delicious. We topped the evening off with a couple of wonderful gelatos and a cheesecake. Alyssa and Jim were keeping the shop running smoothly with a positive & welcoming demeanors. Definitely try this place.

We love going to hop n vine! Great beer and wine selection, and their food is delicious and they are very generous on portions! The people who work there are so nice as well. It's a gem of San Jose!

One of the best happy hour spots in south bay for craft beers and wine. During HH, wine flights are $17 for 3 - 3 oz pours (wines from all over the world), beer flights are $10 for 4 - 4 oz pours (always rotating). Really good deal. Tried some of their food a couple years ago and it was decent, nothing to rave about. Service is always excellent. Their always so nice about you trying before buying a glass or pint and not super strict about HH cut off times. Full bar. Nice clean interior with high tops and regular tables, some outdoor seating as well. Music can be a bit loud but not too bad. Parking isn't too difficult in the residential streets around the corner, it's free. Check them out

Went here with some family members for the first time. Had to wait about 30 minutes to order food. Beer selection was good. My Dad said the wine selection was good as well. The food menu looked interesting with the selections that are listed, but the taste and quality were below average and overpriced. A couple of items we ordered tasted like they were cooked in the microwave. The best food item brought out was the cheese board since it doesn't take a lot of work to arrange cheeses and nuts and crackers. Spending time with family members and drinking some good spirits made the experience well worth it.

Great food, wine, and beer! (Kid-friendliness review for others below as we hadn’t looked it up)

Kid-friendliness: So unfortunately we hadn’t looked it up before, under-21 are not allowed inside. So those with kids, just be aware with winter coming up that it’s outside seating, which is only high top tables. We were comfortable under the heat lamp, but not sure how comfortable that will stay as it gets colder.

The place is really nice. The happy hours are fantastic for both food and drinks, especially the wine and prosecco (highly recommended). The service is good, the waitstaff are friendly, and they offer great recommendations.

Cool little place to grab a beer. Staff were super nice and let us order for happy hour despite us arriving right at 6pm when it ends. Didn’t eat, so can’t rate the food.
