I used the yelp waitlist. It originally said it would take an average of 75 mins. But it really only took 20 mins. This was on a Saturday afternoon (~4:30pm)
Used a qr code to order food. Food came pretty promptly, and our grill was routinely changed. The staff were very proactive, nice and quick. The table was set up with several Banchan (side dishes) upon sitting down at the table.
Recommended dishes: Beef Brisket, Tongue, Beef Belly, Marinated Beef Bulgogi

The staff remove our waitlist without permission and told us there’s no table available.

Get ready to wait a bit! Unless you get there when they open. Before they opened they already had a line - but everyone that waited was able to get seated.
Great selection for the first level, truly frozen and solid quality meat (I often see some food more frozen than others), the air isn't as thick as other places lol.
Standouts: fish cake, steamed egg, radishes, sauce selection, beef tongue, pork belly, squid / octopus, green tea ice cream w a fried banana and good ol brisket.
A few nice touches, they're pretty good about changing the grill quickly, the grill cooked mostly evening, and the scissors actually cut well!

Best bbq spot in the Bay Area right now. Service is fast. They come out with your food fast and they don’t lag. They let you save a spot on yelp which you should do. Great food, reasonable price. Hope they don’t change and they’ll stay on top.

One of my top AYCE Korean BBQs around because of the quality of their food. It's well worth the money compared to similar establishments. Plan ahead with the wait list because it'll be a long wait time if you don't.
Parking: Plan ahead to get on the wait list or you won't get a table by closing time.

This place is not too big so wait time can be long during peak hour, make sure you join waiting list before.
The atmosphere is great and I love that they left all the sauce on each table so you can refill yourself. Also like an idea of ordering through your phone so you don't have to wave or looking for a waiter/ waitress but that too creat a small problem.
Employees are not really friendly or make contact with customers, some of them are not even speak English. When they bring us dessert the waitress just like shovel it into our face without saying anything and wait for us to take it from her, quite unprofessional in my opinion.
Put that aside I think foods are very decent and the good sauce have made our meal better. The variety of sides order also gave us more flavor. Your order also quickly delivered to the table.
In overall we love the place, just hope for the employees will be more lively and friendly. Definitely coming back for more.

If you go alone don’t even bother to come here, they don’t take 1 person! Not the reservation nor even when I offered to wait for 2-3 hours, they just don’t. Shouldn’t they just make a menu price per 2 people instead per 1 person so I know before I took my time to stop by?!

Disappointed. We arrived at 9:20pm and we were told the kitchen closed even though they close at 10pm.

I had such high expectations since it was recommended by a goodie friend
The best really good things were all the UNMARINATED selections. The fresh beef boneless short ribs. The pork belly it had lovely pure taste that was just so delish shrimp plain yum 5 stars
The marinated octopus 3 stars
Marinated squid 2.5 stars
Marinated gizzard 1star we sent half back
Did not try other marinated selections
The seaweed soup 4 star
Tofu soup 4 stars
Side dishes not good sooo disappointing
Potato salad and jap chae noodles ok 3.5-4stars
Inedible kimchi. The bean sprouts was turning sour. Didn’t really like rest.
I thought better than gen bbq. Haven’t been in long time so not sure but recalled that might be better

I asked the waiter three times to serve the food, but he didn't give it to us until he told me that the kitchen was closed and couldn't serve it.Manager's arrogant attitude

If you're a fan of all-you-can-eat KBBQ, Yakini Q SJ is a must-visit!
The standout feature here is the quality of the meats—they're fresh, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. The side dishes are also plentiful and tasty, with the option to order more if needed. While there is a slight upcharge for premium cuts, they are definitely worth the extra cost.
Service + environment is decent, since the restaurant can get busy during the weekends. Also expect 30-40 min wait time if you're coming here on the weekend.
Nonetheless, it's a great spot for a satisfying KBBQ experience, and I plan to return sometime soon ?
