I know that I would like to write memories at @YC. The first time I visited this coffee shop, I got to meet the owner of the shop. The first coffee that I tried was the Golden Gate coffee. Additionally, I would also buy a donut with it too. I used to live around 7th and Taylor and I would get breakfast before I start homework or go shopping at Target. During the hard times of the pandemic, although the donuts were not in the coffee shop any more but I do still get my favorite golden gate coffee which is my favorite. I am definitely going to miss this coffee shop which is my very first block of San Jose. Thank you sir for making a coffee adventure as a start and most of my college years. If I do find the Golden Gate Blend by Mr. Expresso, I will take advantage ASAP.

They never disappoint, best scrammie I have ever had. Husband prefers his in croissant but I love mine on bagel. Wonderful humans own the establishment and makes us feel good that we have them in our community.

Ive been here several times through the years and they were all pleasant enough. Today I came here with two friends. I ordered the "Scrammy". There is a table at the door for ordering, paying etc. and only outdoor seats currently. My friends who were ahead of me got their food. I could only assume my order was next. The owner (older man with white beard) called Scrammy and walked away from the table. I picked up what I thought was my food and went to take a seat. A minute later he comes out belligerent. He points his finger at my friend and yelled " YOU! DID YOU TAKE THE FOOD ON THE TABLE?!" super aggressively. I tell him that it was me that took it and he yells and even hits a chair in anger. Everyone was extremely uncomfortable and also confused. I hear him cursing when he gets inside and telling someone to re-bag it. I'm pretty sure he just gave me the same sandwich again in a different bag (I think I took the correct one from the start but he thought my friend took it, which wouldn't have been an issue either way haha). I explained to him that he called the sandwich I ordered and I thought it was mine. He gave me a super sarcastic " Yeah alright" as if he didn't believe me! I was a paying customer. Did he think I was trying to get some one up on him in some way? It didn't make any sense. Very Bizarre interaction that left us all scratching our heads. Will never be going back there. He also got my order wrong anyway! He had the audacity to ask us how our breakfast was when we were leaving. This was as he was smoking right at his front door. Even if I had accidentally taken the wrong order (which I don't think I did) this is no way to treat a customer or human for that matter.

Really rude service. Front man was snappy and impolite ... didn't want to answer any questions about the menu and got mad at me for not knowing they were only serving breakfast... I just wanted a nice quick morning coffee but I ended up leaving solely bc he was just that mean lol.. How does this place have good reviews??

I would pick this place over Starbucks any day!! Great, quick service, awesome food, delicious coffee.

Great place for a made to order craft sandwich. Highly recommend 'The Boss' if you're into pastrami. Breakfast 'scrammies' on a bagel and croissant will literally make your morning. Sandwiches come with an order of Piknik. Fun decor inside, and coffee is great. Oh and they have legit Espresso machines!

The sandwiches are the best and I strongly recommend trying this place out when you have a chance, They have a great selection and the prices are very affordable.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food just fell short for me. We picked @YC because of the good reviews and fast service. You order at the window (the older gentleman who takes your order is very nice) and there's a couple outdoor tables, for if you choose to stay and eat. I got a coffee, an iced chai latte, and two breakfast sandwiches. The food and drinks were ready quickly, and we took everything to-go (it was well-packaged for a drive). Both drinks were great, but the breakfast sandwiches were unfortunately very mediocre. The bagels weren't great (tasted like a grocery store bagel) and overall there wasn't much flavor. Just okay!

I ordered a BLT with avocado and a caramel latter. It's very good and their customer service is really nice. The caramel latte was better than other coffee places

They want you to call in your order even if your standing in front of them... that's really d**** Be normal or you don't get my money.

The guy at the front, with a grey beard is an a******* Customer service is absolutely horrible. We come to get some coffee and breakfast, waited a good 15-20 minutes for 2 coffees and 2 cold sandwiches. Wanted to ask the guy for some sugar, he goes outside to smoke, right when I am asking him for sugar. Guy says give me a minute... Wtf?!

I moved to the area maybe two weeks ago and I've been here three times already! The breakfast scrammy and the tuna melt were so good. My favorite so far is the breakfast bagel, I definitely recommend. Most/all sandwiches are very customizable and fresh. I'm picky with my coffee but I really enjoyed the coffee and cold brew here as well.

After moving into the apartments nearby I finally made an effort to stop in for breakfast. I'm mad that it's taken me over 6 months to do so. The food was amazing and the iced mocha hit the spot for a busy Saturday ahead.
