Worst aloft ever. I have stayed in multiple alofts but the services this on provides for bonvoy members
1) hotel charging 15$ pet day for parking is ridiculous. Even aloft at sfo airport has free parking
2) rooms don’t have smart tv . Every aloft i have been to has smart tv with apps like netflix and prime. Traveling with 7 year old gets hard without this.
3) breakfast is paid and very limited options. Given its location it may be close to offices but any other breakfast joint is 5-10 mins drive.
Staying here for another 4 days will keep updating this post
The rooms and hotel amenities were good. The location was very poor - there was nothing around. The breakfast was really bad!! The hotel is supposed to be a subsidiary of Marriott, and they were giving out pre-made microwaved sandwiches as breakfast. Oil dripping from everywhere. Even Denny's have better breakfast options.
Rooms: Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Nearby activities: Nothing around

Beware of room 115 -- I arrived late and the hotel was almost full so I was given the notorious room 115, which has a door directly to the lobby and a pool table right outside! In between the constant music and people playing pool at 3am, I had a horrible night. Staff were able to give me a better room (next to an elevator...) the next day. A few days later, I heard somebody else pleading with staff to be moved from room 115, so this appears to be a common occurrence. That room needs to be removed from inventory. Until then, I will never stay at this hotel again if there is a remote chance of ending up in that room since I often check in late. There are far too many other good hotel options in the area to risk it. Finally, for breakfast, they are not able to remove cheese from any of the items. Aloft hotels all serve the same breakfast items and I have never had a problem with this before. Very odd.

As others have stated, they cater more to the 1 person at the bar rather than their hotel guests. Loud music with heavy base playing until late hours… you are not a night club. Turn off the music and let your guests get a good night sleep.

Booked the room well in advance but when I arrived the reservation was not in their system. Even after showing the confirmation number the staff told me it was not their problem. Had to find another hotel last minute and spend an hour on the phone with the travel agency, that confirmed that the issue was with the hotel.
This is a breach of contract so I'll be seeking compensation for my wasted time

Had a medical emergency that caused a need to cancel our trip. They refused to work with us about a refund. It’s unfortunate and will never book with this company in the future. And I’m trying to cancel two weeks before trip so not even last minute. (Expedia left a refund up to the hotel and the hotel said no, I do not recommend doing business with Expedia either)
The room (Room 315) I stayed in was clean, but there was always a horrible sewer smell coming from the shower drain after being away at work for the day. I was wanting to switch rooms, but it was mentioned to the two guests before me in the check-in line that the hotel was full all week.
I have a mechanical background and am familiar with drying P-Traps. So every morning when I woke up, got back to the hotel or before bed, I would run the shower for 30 seconds to ensure the P-Trap was full. I've never seen a trap dry that fast, so I'm assuming there was a crack in it and it was leaking, or a major pressure vacuum on the sewer line was pulling the water out.
I mentioned this to the front desk attendant at check-out so hopefully they took care of it. I know that area gets a bad smell because of the marsh land around it, but it is a completely different smell. Having worked in industrial plants and settings for my whole career, I am familiar with the difference between bog smell and sewer gas. So if you happen to get Room 315 and still smell the sewer, they probably didn't take care of it.
Other than that, the room was clean for the most part. I'm really disappointed in the stay because A-Loft is one of my favorite brands to stay in, and I was just starting to travel more to the Bay and was hoping to stay here more often, but most likely not anymore. Also, the parking fee situation is weird.

EDIT: it’s been a week and still can not get answers - charges are still pending. Tried to get a hold of someone in billing but apparently Friday isn’t considered a work day in this company. It’s a new month so these charges were reflected on my card and billing statement. I had PREPAID reservations and instead they decided to charge my card and make a new reservation even though I said multiple times I had a prepaid reservation. Idk if this is there thing with many people traveling for business to try and squeeze some extra bucks. BEWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES,
Charged my credit card $826.92 even though my company pre-paid for my room. I had to go downstairs and talk to multiple people and no one could give me answer- Really upset with the dysfunction and lack of compassion regarding an $862 charge that should have never been there to begin with.

They charge extra for bfast… king bed was horrible, back is killing me
Toilet won’t flush, takes like 4-5 flushes to get pee down… location is ok… but the Hyatt is closer and I believe the same price

This place is amazing! Mike, Rosario and Isabel really made the trip I had worth while and then some! I was there to celebrate my sisters Bday and I madd a mistake with my booking. I call the staff there a few different occasions and they really took time to take care of me and accommodate! If you are looking for a place not far from the stadium, choose this place as your temporary destination! They do it right!
Rooms: The room was really nice and spacious. And the bed felt great! 10 out of 10

Stayed there for a night, it was a breeze. The staff enabled mobile key prior to checkout so didn’t need to wait in line. The biggest pro was to the EV charging. It was free and level 2, just needed to pay $15 parking.

The hotel is completely out of the way. There's nothing here.
There is no breakfast, just a snack machine and a microwave where an employee warms up sandwiches. One of the worst hotels in the San Jose area for the price. A modern flophouse without character.

Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant. The hotel seemed pretty nice visually, but the details were not great. My first room had lots of ants spread across bathroom, vanity area, and my desk area. I requested a room switch, but it was fully booked out. I requested for my room to be sprayed down, but they only have Raid spray, which is pretty toxic in an enclosed room. The windows do not open, so maintenance can only spot treat some areas before the bug spray smell filled the entire room. Additionally, the room cleaning service did not take out my trash nor refill the lotion in my room, which worsen the ants issue. I was not able to switch room till the next day. By the next day, there were already ants inside my suitcase and my clothes.
Moving to the second room, there seemed to be no ants issue, but there's plumbing issue preventing the toilet from refilling the water tank. The maintenance guy came and fixed it, but the issue came back again the morning I was checking out.
Both rooms had okay beds, they weren't the most comfortable and both beds sink a little too much. For the price point, I think there are better hotel options with much better beds.
The last issue was related to charging station. I'm not sure if it is due to another customer or hotel staff, but someone unplugged my charging in the middle of the night. There were other empty stations, so I'm not sure who unplugged it. It was very frustrating. I wonder if there's a time limit at which you can charge your car before the staff unplugs it.
Overall, the maintenance guy responded to situation quickly, but there should be more compensation done at the management level for these kind of situation. The hotel should also have infestation remedy that is not toxic to enclosed space.
