First time in Yuri Japanese Restaurant. Restaurant was recommended to my friend. Upon entering restaurant the front of house (FOH) staff greeted us with a frown. However, server was patient, friendly, and answered our questions. Food was served in adequate time. Tempura Nabeyaki Udon was lacking in ingredients; not enough Udon noodles, no tofu, no scallions, no Enoki mushrooms. Carrot rough chops in Nabemono was raw & hard. Disappointed in lack of variety in tempura, such as, NO Kabocha squash, green beans, lotus root, bell peppers, eggplant, broccoli. Bulgogi Bento Box friend ordered the Bulgogi had good flavor. Menu says "steamed" Gyoza, however, served deep fried. Ambience clean, and pleasantly quiet due to few customers at 7pm on a Saturday. Room temperature was comfortable.

Went there yesterday to celebrate birthday. We focused mainly on the Sushi rolls which was viewed on the table menu under the glass. Service was great. What I miss is some Japanese music to provide authentic atmosphere.Parking: it is a mall so you can park almost everywhere

The sushi here is delicious! It's always a long wait during dinner but worth it. But we don't mind ordering for take out if we don't have time to eat at the restaurant. Kudos to the staff!

Date of Interaction: 2024-01-22 TL;DR: - Actual Rating: 4.2/5 - Rounded Rating: 4/5 - A quaint and cozy Japanese restaurant that provided an enjoyable sushi experience. Food: - Chirashi (4/5): This had a generous portion of thick slices of fish, and they were decent cuts at that--definitely a high value for the price spent! - Flashbang Roll (4/5): A salmon and salmon skin roll topped with some thin-cut lemon slices; I found it tasty and refreshing, though I and my wife did find the lemon slices just a little bit too thick and overpowering. Ambiance: - Space (4/5): While the linoleum floors and floormats feel a bit out of place, it's still a nice cozy space with nice Japanese styling and elements. - Noise (4/5): Their music is really muted, which I tend to find nice but there weren't that many guests so perhaps it swung a little bit too quiet in that regard. Service: - Attentiveness & Relatability (5/5): The waitress was very friendly and checked up on us during our meal. - Wait (4/5): We didn't have to wait to get a table; wait time for food was also about expected.

Love coming here! My fiancé and I had our second date here, four years ago. The staff members are always polite, quick to serve and efficient. My goal is to try every single one of their rolls and so far, none of them have disappointed! I'm not a fan of fried rolls, but the two I ordered this time around were fried and I love them! The restaurant was lively with families having dinner, a birthday dinner happening in the back and couples like us having a mid-week dinner date. We will be visiting Yuri time and time again!

Been going to this place more than 20 years be cause the fish quality is excellent. The service is fast and professional. The room is kind of old that should to be repainted. I went to many sushi places in the bay area but this place stands out among the crowd.

I’ve been coming here for years, this place has consistent quality, service and atmosphere. Miso soup is always delicious. I tried the Kelvinator role this time and it was delicious, very substantial role and great mix of salmon, eel, spicy tuna and crab, and jalapeño. Reduced one star mainly for price, roll was $20.25 on its own. That, plus the miso soup, put it more in the $30-35 range once you include tax and tip.

My husband and I ordered the Yuri special plate for two and added a fire crunch roll just in case if it wasn't enough for two people. When the food came out it was more than enough, we ended up taking some leftovers home. I recommend trying the Yuri plate for two if it's your first time and just want to try an assortment of food. However, the rolls were the highlight of our meal and we're definitely going back to try out the other rolls. A little pricey, but the generous portions do make up for it.

I have been exploring restaurants near Evergreen district with my mom. She likes Japanese for so we took a shot at this place. We ordered a couple bento boxes. She had the one with save (mackerel) and I had a tempura box. It was quite nicely done. the tempura was crisp but lightly battered. It was not "armor plated" like some places that use thick batter and don't keep the ingredients cold until frying. My mom's mackerel was good as well. In general, a good, but average, experience. In the area, this is solid, but it is decidedly average once you are willing to go a little further.
