My wife and I are big barbecue lovers, so we were excited to give this place a try. We spent a little over $80 on a glass of beer, a prime rib sandwich and a two‑meat plate with brisket, tri‑tip, potato salad, and baked beans. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the price tag.
The prime rib sandwich was the highlight of the meal—tender, flavorful, and genuinely enjoyable. The sides, however, were hit‑or‑miss. The fries that came with the sandwich were undercooked and lukewarm, which took away from an otherwise solid dish.
On the two‑meat plate, the tri‑tip was cooked well but surprisingly flavorless and also lukewarm. The brisket was the biggest letdown: dry, lacking seasoning, and served barely warm. For a barbecue spot, that’s a tough miss.
The baked beans were delicious and easily the best side we tried. The potato salad, on the other hand, was overwhelmingly vinegary, and the cornbread was dry enough that it ended the meal on a disappointing note.
Overall, there were a few bright spots, but too many basics fell short—especially for the price.

Atmosphere, felt a little like stuck in the 70s. Service, not the most warm and thrilling. I asked the clerk at the food order desk what the side orders were and he simply pointed to the board behind him without turning around.
Food-Disappointed. It wasn’t up to the hype that I had heard about this place. I ordered the tri-tip. It was chewy and dry. Sad. The cole-slaw didn’t have any flavor. The corn bread was basic. It was an uneventful meal. This is not a full service restaurant. We ordered at the counter and got our cups for our own sodas at the drink station. Everything is self serve except that they bring the the flatware and the food.
I can do better at home.

I was underwhelmed by the brisket and tri-tip. I found them both dry and a little tough. The brisket was inconsistent, with some parts that would fall apart if you waved a fork above it, and others were chewy.
The macaroni and cheese was okay. It had a good texture and had a good amount of cheese. I would have liked a little bit of Cheddary flavor profile.
The cornbread was solid, with good flavor, and a nice soft consistency. I almost ordered more.
The star of dinner was the garlic smashed potatoes. They were smooth, almost to the point of being a puree, buttery, and garlicky. I liked them more than the macaroni and cheese.
The best dish we had was the chocolate and vanilla bread pudding. This is a five star example of what bread pudding should be. Topped with some decadent vanilla ice cream, you wanted to eat it with your eyes. If a warm hug was edible, it would be this dish.
The service was great and the prices were fair. The atmosphere was laid back and well decorated. We sat inside, but the dog-friendly patio looked nice too. (As did the giant dog who was out there.)
Even though all of the meal wasn't my favorite, I'd definitely I have for dinner eat there again.

If you are looking for a tasty BBQ spot, Bad To The Bone Is it. I typically order the tri-tip plate every time I visit because it is so good and the meat is tender. Today we added the Tallow fries with bacon and cheese. It did not disappoint. Probably the tastiest dish I have ever had for a topped/loaded fry dish. But overall, everything on the menu is good. Another great addition to mention, they have dog friendly patio seating .

I am a takeout regular for the brisket meal. Chopped & Moist is a tasty way to go! Mac & Cheese and Corn on the Cob sides are always high quality. Cornbread with house butter is a nice touch. Guitar players for atmosphere on the weekend. Great spot.

I was born in California but unfortunately my family moved away when I was 5 and I didn’t come back till high school. This place reminds me so much of my childhood in Wisconsin. I almost fell down laughing when they played Waylon Jennings the other night. It made me happy.

The food was pretty good but they only have one bartender (on a Friday!) to help the whole restaurant. They can barely keep up at the bar. Edit to original post: after coming here several times, the service is always poor. I literally had to ask go everything I wanted tonight. Not once did the bartender check in with me or ask me if I wanted to order anything. And this was a Tuesday and not very busy.

Had the Brisket Tacos , Excellent, the brisket was so tender and juicy and nicely garnished with chopped lettuce , tomato ,onion and green or red salsa . The salsa had great flavor. Pastrami sandwich was also Excellent. Super tender and flavored pastrami on bread that was buttered and toasted . Super tasty sandwich . We had a large group and everyone was Very Satisfied with their meals .

Came for dinner and it was okay. Amicable (young) staff, quick service. Ambiance is a little gloomy, dim lighting, tavern vibes. Price to portion of food was fair. Food was luke warm (was expecting a more fresh/hot cooked meat) of pork and chicken. Mac and cheese with chicken was great, as well as corn bread. Plenty of free parking in the lot.
