I had an incredible dining experience at Basanti Indian Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano! The food was absolutely amazing — I ordered the biryani, chicken tikka masala, and each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The balance of spices and freshness of the ingredients truly made the meal unforgettable.
A special shoutout to the owner, Roshan, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. His passion for the restaurant and ensuring that every guest has a top-notch experience really shines through. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is excellent, and I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Indian food, Basanti is the place to go!

Food is excellent and full of flavor. Everything is made in house as well. Staff is always friendly and orders are served in a reasonable time. Their facility is always super clean and welcoming. Highly recommend. :)
Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well
We have been ordering takeout here for two years now. The vegetarian dish we always get is Chili Paneer, extra spicy, and the mixed Kabob. Fantastic! The Chili Paneer is not on the online menu, but always available.

Basanti is hands down best Indian food I’ve ever had. The staff is top notch with Lucas running the floor with best in class service. Also, Gobi and Oscar are very well skilled in making the finest dishes that my family & I enjoy at minimum 3x a week.

Importantly, they also offer many vegetarian and vegan dishes, and can modify some dishes to accommodate vegan preferences.
