Love this place. Best Butter Chicken anywhere! Seriously cannot get enough and have eaten here twice this week already. Even my husband who's not really a big fan of Indian food loves the Butter Chicken too. The portion is big enough that we add an extra side of butter garlic naan and it's more than plenty, even when we are super hungry.

Talk about cutting corners, food was a 5/10 but id give this place a 2/10 because for what they charge it should be a lot better

This is the best Indian food around (I know there aren’t many) but it’s so good. We’re vegetarian and the mushroom tikka masala and vegetable curry are fantastic. So so so good. Get the garlic naan on the side and the little rice pudding they give to every order just finishes the meal off perfectly. Order a lot of food. The leftovers are even better than the initial meal!

We go here quite often because it is, without a doubt, the BEST Indian food around OC. The reason being is it is owned & operated by beautiful Nepalese folks. Bachchu, Reenjen, Bisnu, Murari (the best cook) etc. will take great care of you and completely satisfy your culinary needs. Trust me!!!!

Himalayan Taste is hands down one of our favorite restaurants. The tiki masala, basmati rice, and naan are absolutely unbeatable—every dish is packed with flavor and cooked perfectly every time. The entire team is from Nepal, and they’re some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet. Great food, great people—this place is truly special.

They offer unique Himalayan dishes in addition to typical Indian food. You'll have a large variety to choose from and everything is very flavorful.

They are also excellent at customizing vegetarian orders.

Hands down the best Himalayan food I’ve ever had. The butter chicken and lamb biryani are absolutely incredible. Even the basics; the naan, the turmeric rice, the sauces, amazing.

Great restaurent for Nepalese food.

This review is for the SJC location. Service was nonexistent. The food took a long time to come out and once the runner dropped it off, the server never came by to see if everything was OK. We asked for more water, which the server brought, but again no dialogue about how the food was or if we needed anything else. Chicken Tikka was dry and food overall was nothing special. We were excited to try this place due to the great reviews. We won’t be going back. 2/28/25.

The food is great, service too. It is a pity they don’t work on the decor and make it more appealing, a little bit of character. The place is very kid friendly.
