Great atmosphere and a modern spin on Middle Eastern dishes! Everything tastes fresh. I have to say I do miss the pistachio tiramisu! Please bring it back. The chicken shishlik was perfect before they changed it to skewered chicken (it dries out the chicken now).

Mayfield is truly a gem in San Juan Capistrano. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, cozy, and has a ton of fresh air flow. When the natural light sets in, Mayfield makes for the perfect place for a romantic date, a dinner with friends, or a place for families to enjoy. The staff is incredibly attentive and inviting, offering wine recommendations, food pairings, and simply providing that high quality service you would anticipate. The food was excellent. Highly recommended the bread + dips starter. With every bite, we kept trying to decide which dip was our favorite, all 5 are superb. The Grains Bowl provided that healthy, hearty, and delicious culinary experience we were hoping for. Can’t wait to return to Mayfield, as it’s probably my favorite restaurant we’ve visited this year.

Great birthday dinner. Unique and memorable plates and cocktails. Will be back to continue ripping and dipping. Lamb shank was phenomenal.

Great ambiance, cute place. loved the Cardamon rose Latte. The spiced popcorn! Food is fun and unique. Tastes good. Will go back to try some cocktails next time.

I will definitely be back for the lamb meatballs and next time I'll save room for the sticky toffee!

Family style was great. Got to try many different dishes. Everyone left full and pleased!

Food and service were outstanding!!! Flavors are so original and interesting. The ambience feels cold and uninviting, and the chairs are uncomfortable. That is the only downside.

Amazing restaurant, with excellent service and even better food! Loved the atmosphere and the setting of the restaurant, the staff was very kind and welcoming! I will definitely come back with my family!

Hands down our favorite restaurant in south OC. They never disappoint. Has the chocolate pudding with olive oil dessert this time and it was out of this world. The trout is new too and it was amazing.

I’ve been here probably 10 or 15 times, and I cannot overstate how good it is. The high quality of the ingredients, the preparation, the unique flavors which are unlike any of their competition, the textures… i’ve had several dishes here (for example the snap peas, the pork chop, the Moroccan carrots) which in my opinion are Michelin level. Cocktails are also interesting and delicious. And if that wasn’t enough, the place is spacious, cool, and the staff are friendly without being too formal. Recommended.

We had a fabulous dinner at Mayfield. The flavors in all the dishes were unique and delicious. It was a pleasant surprise from the fusion restaurants where food is often bland. We started with the hummus and baba ghanoush with vegetables and bread, then had the carrots and beef skewers, and for the main dish we had the Black Cod. My mouth is still watering from the meal, every dish had really fresh ingredients and was prepared with a creative blend of spices. The service was excellent as well and the food was brought out as it was prepared, so we didn't have to wait for it. We sat in the upper level inside and it was very loud from the guests sitting downstairs. Next time my preference would be to sit in the upstairs patio or downstairs. Definitely going back to try some of their other dishes.

High hands foods. The lamb is amazing. Very recommended.
