The Hawaiian pizza was delicious, a lot of pineapple and the thin and crispy dough. The Chicago supreme had a very watery dough base and a very intense tomato sauce that drowned out the other ingredients in flavor.

Just arrived in San Juan Capistrano got off at the Amtrak station and this is the first restaurant I saw decided to try it the food was amazing got the Chicago style pizza it was great the sauce tasted home made and the ingredients were spectacular. When I travel back to the area this is going to be my very first stop,!

I am 66 and Selma's served me the best pizza I ever had. Truth. ☺ Nice waitress. Place is run great.

The sausage had fennel and slightly spicy and was the same sausage you would get in Chicago. Normally Chicago pizza has the toppings underneath the cheese and it's cut into squares though not triangles. They use a butter crust that had a nice depth of flavor so it was probably fermented a day or so. Usually you need to have the dough rise on its own to get that flavor.
However having the veggies on top kept the crust nice and crispy on the bottom. Def will be trying the deep dish next time.

Great atmosphere, has outside seating and relaxing indoors. The deep dish pizza was delicious, but very heavy. Wait for pizza was a little long but quite worth it. Crisp crust, flavorful bites. The lasagna was pretty good too but I would like a little more meat in it. Other than that would be 5 star.

This place is amazing! And pet friendly! The staff was so kind, I didn't even ask and they brought my daughters dog a bowl of water. The food was unbelievably great. I've never had a deep dish pizza so good. Personally ordered the meat head for my Dad and I. In tears from the happiness!

I took the Metrolink from Pasadena, to try out this place. I saw Selma’s by accident while checking out what to eat around the mission. Their Chicago-pizza is what I expected; DELICIOUS! pictured is a vegetable pizza with added pepperoni.?They also have a good choice of local beer on tap.? I will definitely come for the food , beer, and ambiance…

Loved everything about Selma's. The service was excellent and even though the kitchen crashed, they kept us abreast of our order which made it acceptable. The deep dish pizza was perfect along with the Chicago style pizza. Our Italians salad was very good and there was plenty to go around. Even though this venue is a bit of a drive, I will make the drive without hesitation.
Kid-friendliness: My grandson enjoyed his pasta and cheese. The wait staff had the foresight to bring out his dinner ahead of ours in order to keep him happy. Thank you
