Great food and staff very friendly. Nice outdoor setting.
Exceptional spot to buy some food when in a rush. The service is speedy, prices are reasonable, great vibes. Will visit here again
This is in the outlet Plaza. The decor is quite simple but they keep the place clean and well-maintained. if you’re looking for a simple meal, this is a pretty good choice for a family. We started with the onion rings. They give a sizable portion for eight dollars. We split a turkey burger and that was tasty. The fries were pretty good. The kids had chicken fingers and fries and they liked them. All in all, a satisfactory dining experience. Plenty of free parking and fairly reasonably priced. Our waitress was courteous and attentive.
This restaurant is my number one restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a special supper, this restaurant comes first to my mind. outstanding and many types of food and a large menu.courteous staff members, and good mood. Also, the tariff is reasonable. I sent my friends to this restaurant with great pleasure.
This restaurant is good any time of the day, but earlyfor breakfast is when you will find the most seating. Outside patio is great in good weather. Of course their real ice cream milkshakes are great. The only thing on the menu that I didn't like was the chili.
Ruby's is a typical fifty's diner. We had a Cobb Salad and it was huge. We had the bacon cheeseburger, and it was pretty good. Unfortunately we found out that Ruby's is closing this location and a new restaurant is taking it's place.
Victor was an outstanding server
After spending the morning wandering around town Ruby’s was an ideal place to go for lunch. The style is very 1950’s dinner but the food was right up to date and they served the best milkshakes in the state. Not expensive and friendly service we would definitely go back again.
Had lunch here on our trip to the mission. We sat on the outside patio which is upstairs. The weather was great so it was wonderful. The food was good. The waiter seemed to be good, however, it seemed to take awhile to get our food. I saw other people having the same issues, so i think the problem was in the kitchen. They did have a tour bus in to eat so that could have caused a delay. I would eat here again on a future trip to the mission.
We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised over the variety of food on the menu. We had a nice and tasty lunch ghere and all of us, including the teenager with fuzzy taste, were satisfied.

I always take my scottish relatives to ruby's when they visit. They seem to really enjoy the 50's american diner look to the restaurant, and they always want a burger, fries and a milkshake. The milkshakes are, admittedly, very filling and delicious. Since I am now gluten free, I get my burger with a salad, and they are very accommodating. Great place for families with children and even an ice cream instead of a full meal. This is not gourmet cuisine...it is what it should be...good old fashioned american at its best.
Had a banana split. It was very good. Sat on the deck on a nice day. Enjoyed the dessert and the view.
My two friends and I went there for early lunch last week. We sat on an outside patio on the second floor. We all had a hamburger (what else?) Each was a different one. Two out of three of us had a good experience. The third member of our party was disappointed. Her onion rings were cold and her burger (her words) was tasteless. The prices are fairly steep for burgers.
Ruby's is always a good reliable meal, but its nothing to get to excited about. The burgers are big and tasty, but there are lots of other great burgers around now. The thing that keeps me coming back is the malted milk shakes. True malts are getting hard to find.
Best hidden secret in San Juan Capistrano. If you're a fan of rooftop dining or drinking, this is your spot. Great menu, great prices, great view.
