The Tea House On Los Rios

Such a cute venue! Went to a bridal shower here today and the food was delicious and the plating was gorgeous. Loved all 3 teas they brought us and of course, all the flowers were beautiful! Very cute restaurant but super busy; make a reservation for sure!

1st time here and we loved the experience. We were served by Kyle and he was very attentive and gave us good suggestions on what tea to get.

My daughter and I had the most lovely time enjoying lunch at The Tea House! It was a wonderful mother/daughter outing that created lovely memories!

Wonderful tea house! So pretty and with a beautiful little garden. We did the tea experience, and comes with a LOT of food. Favorite by far was the currant scones and the jalapeno corn soup, which apparently isn't served too often but it's amazing! They take their time bringing out the courses so u don't feel rushed and, can enjoy your company. I had the peach apricot tea which I recommend if you want something light and fruity for summer.

Our server Brigitte was lovely. Very kind, friendly, always had a smile, attentive, and made our experience all the more pleasurable.

Will definitely be back to visit again the next time I'm in California to visit family.

Wonderful food and service in a quaint cottage in the eclectic Los Rios district of San Juan Capistrano. On our visits both the formal tea experiences and brunch items have been excellent. Online reservations are recommended. Plan a little extra time to walk from parking areas that are a block or two from the tea house property.

We had a party of 6 and was seated outside on the porch. Our table was on the side of the parking lot. When our food came so did the bees! They were in our cups of tea, on our plates, eating our scones. It was a nightmare of keeping them off our food! My chicken curry was to have a sauce but it wasn't adequate to disguise the dryness of the chicken. The carrots and heirloom broccoli were tough like rubber. Couldn't cut with knife or bite it! We told our server about the bees and was told that is the way it is! When the bill came we were shocked that the tip was 20% obligated and calculated in the check. Also for 6 of us they only allow 3 checks so someone had to pay cash to another person in the group! Not a pleasant experience and not good for digestion! No one on the staff seemed capable of making our time there pleasant plus we paid a hefty price for this nightmare!

Wow this is a really neat spot for a good meal and amazing tea service. The staff were super friendly and helpful and added to the great experience. The tea experiences are very nice with a huge selection of teas to choose from and plenty of caffeine free options which was great. The scone is amazing and the finger sandwiches were really tasty. For the tea experience it actually fills you up more than expected. Lovely atmosphere and very cool vibe for a date, family time or just solo relaxing. I recommend reservations and the quiche Lorraine.

This is a fun place for an afternoon brunch. Tea, crumpets, and scones. The brunch food was awesome and hearty too.

Handicap/wheelchair accessible. If you are allergic to gluten, I recommend trying naturally gluten free menu options, like a salad, as the gluten free tea sandwiches were not good and I still feel like I got glutened from something I ate there. Adorable atmosphere. Delicious tea. Don't be afraid to dress up and wear a fancy hat or fascinator.

This a great place for a special occasion such as Mother's Day, bridal shower, birthday, or just an outing with the girls. The place is beautiful and the experience is magical.

My friends and I love tea, and we love the Tea House on Los Rios. The food was exceptional, and so was the service. We particularly enjoyed the selection flexibility. We have been to the Tea House many times, but yesterday's experience was really outstanding. .

Really nice area. Ambience and setting were beautiful. Food was good. I was stuffed by the time I was done. They give you a lot of tea. All the staff were very helpful and nice.

For time visit and it did not disappoint. Our server was knowledgeable on all the teas and guided us through our ordering. The food was delicious and the tea was incredible. Will be returning soon!
