Service is great, sometimes a little slow (only because anyone wanting a sandwich passing thru San Leandro stops there). Order online!

Took me awhile to find a great deli and sandwich shop when I moved to San Lorenzo. Baras is it! Love their sandwiches. Haven't explored the total menu but we'll get there.

I had just finished eating lunch after dropping off a Wiggly Koontz Hickory Stick to my old pal Crossmoore P. Hagginlipper so he can better control the beast within his bride, Helga, ..she can be pretty aggressive at play time. I'll tell you, I couldn't get outa there fast enough when Helga saw that Wiggly Stick come out of the box, I knew right then and there something was about to happen, and man did I run!I was cutting through town like I owned it, and then I saw Bara's Deli and being a Yogi Bera fan I just had to go in and eat again. Well, seeing that I just had lunch 30 minutes ago, all I could muster was a small corned beef on rye sandwich...it was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

My family and I have been frequenting this fine establishment for over 2 decades and never disappointed in the quality or customer service! If you're a fan of an old school delicatessen this is the place for you! Huge portions and great value and a true California Bay Area Staple.

It’s really easy to screw up a sandwich. These guys perfected it. The attention to detail, the customer service, the fresh ingredients, all were on point. Bacon was crispy and flavorful. Right ratio of ingredients. Had gluten free bread that wasn’t tiny and held up well. 10/10 would recommend!I got the Cali club.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread option

The sandwiches were good and huge! I had the bat area special. They use Boar's Head meat. It was a little over $15 for a Sandwich. They do have a extra topping menu some stuff you have to pay a few cents for the topping and not everything is included so look at the menu board. The pesto pasta salad was not good. The pasta tasted old. It was very clean and well designed. I would go back if I was in the area again.
