You will not regret going to Clancy's. My family have been eating ice cream from Clancy's for over 20yrs and have never been disappointed. They have a great variety of flavors to offer and the scoops are much larger than most. The staff is friendly and serve with a smile. No place to sit inside or outside but it's worth the trip!

I'm a regular at the 7eleven next door and I don't know why I never tried Clancy's Ice Cream sooner. Finally gave it a try and it did not disappoint. Single scoops are HUGE and at a reasonable price. Limited edition and seasonal flavors are nice because you'll always have something new to try aside from the regular flavors. Residents are lucky to live at walking distance. Crazy lines go out the door on weekends and weekdays is empty and a good time to satisfy your cravings.

My wife and I patronize Clancy's regularly. Tonight they ran out of cups. So they used coffee cups instead. Let's just stay, the normal quantity for a single scoop was embarrassing. Barely filled the cup. Yikes. Let's just say if they run out of cups or items to serve their ice cream, please reduce your prices.

Service was good and quick but the milkshake I ordered was not blended correctly. Was not drinkable and the malt inside was not blended in correctly you could taste the powdered malt throughout the drink. I was telling my Fiancée about this place and how they had the best milky shakes in the Bay. But after yesterday it definitely is not anymore. Big disappointment since this was my go to ice cream place from childhood. Grew up in the manor.

Meh. Really don't understand the hoopla regarding this place. Went there for the first time today, and uh... it's just regular ice cream? Not bad, certainly not extraordinary. Nothing special at all. Just... regular. A couple of strange notes regarding service. I told the kid serving me that I would need to try a few flavors since I'd never been there before. And he says that each customer is only allowed to try two. Say wha... ? Insert confused looking emoji here. I asked him how am I supposed to know what to buy if I can't taste them? I then asked if I could PAY for samples and he looked at his coworker for confirmation and then just kind of nodded. I have never been to any "ice cream parlor" that does not let you TASTE the ice cream for free. The other oddity occurred when I asked him for two scoops of ice cream in a cup. For some reason known only to him and the ether, he puts the scoops in two separate cups. Um... why? I had not requested two separate cups. Another confused looking emoji is warranted here. But it gets even more bizarre. I asked him if he would put them in one cup instead. He said he didn't know! HUH?! And then he just kept standing there. Crickets. So I said, "Can you try?" to which he replied that he didn't know. More crickets. LOL. So I said, "When will you know?" LOL laughing emoji. He said that he wasn't sure if his manager would let him... . Just, HUH?! I'm like, "Your manager won't let you put two scoops of ice cream in one cup?" Am I getting punked again? Why do they offer a "2 scoop" cup if they're not allowed to put two scoops in one cup???? Dumb on dumber. Then he said, "ok," and just did it. Why was that so hard??? LOL dumb-looking emoji-with-the-tongue-hanging-out. I got five scoops in total. They were nothing special whatsoever. I would say that the vanilla was outright strange. Very unusual peach color, and the taste was just off. Who messes up vanilla? For mediocre flavor, sampling at a cost, an apparently anal manager, a run-down store front, a dirty and cramped parking lot, and ice cream-scooping employees who are afraid to scoop up ice cream, I'd have to say: PASS. It's a miss for me.

I've been coming here for about 2 years. The staff are always helpful and patient. This time we went, the line was out the door but the service was still very friendly. I love that their scoops are very generous! They have a lot of flavors as well. There's a flavor for everyone. I got a 3 scoop banana split this time. All the flavors were good: strawberry, brownie a la mode, and matcha.

After 5 years, Clancy's still has the same great quality and generous portions! Still walk out with a single scoop sundae (with butter pecan and black raspberry swirl). But now never leave without also getting a few 1.75 quarts of ice cream too. Also a new fave - chocolate fantasy!

No wonder this tiny spot in the not-so-flashy plaza is always buzzing with customers. Gotta love those unexpected gems!
