This place is sparkling clean. The food was great and at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere..cozy and low key just like the name suggest. Very relaxing. Would highly recommend!

The food is decent. However, the Asian woman that has worked there for years is extremely unfriendly and borderline rude. She gives off the most unwelcome look and tone that I felt completely uncomfortable eating in this café. If this means nothing to you, by all means have at it. For myself, I don't go places to enjoy a meal and get treated with a server that treats customers like we have no business entering this establishment. There are other local places with comparable food in the same price range that offer much friendlier service. I suggest would suggest going to Elios, Mels Diner, the Fifth Wheel, or some other local place where you will definitely feel a lot more welcomed than this place!

Grt food but not nice on service. She needs to smile n not be so rude. I asked for napkins to wipe up coffee she spilled .and she got mad and said ok no more service and gave me container and said to leave but I didn't I just finished my food and left .all because of the unfriendly service

We just had breakfast at the Cozy Kitchen coffee shop - in a little stripmall at the corner of Washington & Bradick in San Leandro. It's a tiny classic diner, serving basic breakfasts at the most reasonable prices around. Been around forever, run by the same little couple (ever since our friend was a boy & ate here with his family). Husband cooks. Wife runs tables. Well-worn furnishings from decades of diners make it feel like a step back in time. It is the CLEANEST restaurant I've EVER been in - evidence of pride/care/lifelong work ethic. There's nothing fancy on the menu, but if you're looking for bacon & eggs on a budget around Oakland, CA - this is the place. Period. Come support these folks!

I had a great experience here this morning on 6/17/2025. Me and my trainer wanted to eat breakfast and we had a delivery next door on dollar tree, so we went in, we were warmly greeted. Had our menus within a couple minutes, and when we ordered our breakfast was made to order. Haven’t had a great experience at any other breakfast place like this one. I suggest you come here and try there bacon eggs and toast, sunny side up. With a side of pancakes. Wash it down with a cup of Joe! Hopefully you can have a similar experience as I did

My wife and I love breakfast at Cozy Kitchen. I usually have scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast. She likes blueberry pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. Cozy Kitchen is the only restaurant where I will order scrambled eggs which are perfectly done, slightly moist, cooked in their own small frying pan, not on the grill. The hash browns are a perfect golden brown, slightly crisp. Perfect. The blueberry pancakes are big and packed full of plump blueberries. We highly recommend the Cozy Kitchen for breakfast.

Definitely your classic mom and pop diner. Always good food, reasonably priced (especially for the Bay Area), and we usually wait no more than 5-10 minutes to be seated. Definitely a bummer that they’re closed Sundays, but everyone deserves a couple days off. Overall it’s a great place to eat breakfast or lunch, and always good service and food.

This place is very much a hidden Gem of the area tucked in the corner of this shopping center. It seems like the owners are also the ones working here. That's probably why their prices are very affordable. You just don't find prices for meals like this anymore. The food is great as well! Just your typical American Diner food. Lunch and breakfast. Simple and easy. Highly recommend the Cozy Kitchen Special. I get it every time.

Parking: There is plenty of free parking at the shopping center.
