I would usually score this place higher bc the (older lady is super nice) - anyway I go in today (6/3/20) & the lady tells me they just ran out of gloves & yet as I leave they don't say anything to the other person...can't help to wonder if this is a black thing...Whatever!

This place isn't fancy or hip, but it's an institution at the Greenhouse Marketplace. Sure it's not the cheapest place to eat, but the quality is consistent and the service makes you feel like a long time friend. Perhaps it's the nostalgia of it that got me to go in. You see, this particular Kaspers has been here since I was in high school, so a loooooong time. Unfortunately, like many other businesses, they have fallen subject to landlord greed and are set to close on January 19th. It was quiet when I went in and I was able to chat with the lady behind the counter as she fixed up my order. Bless her heart, 88 and still working, and doing it with a smile. In a growing World of prepackaged, rehydrated ingredients, lamp warmed food, it was a joy to see that the tomatoes are still fresh and sliced by hand. The onions are chopped and sliced every morning and you still get to chat with a friendly cashier as she makes your order then rings you up. I'll miss this Kasper's, I'll miss this period of my youth, but I'll mostly miss Lucy Tarin and her hugs! If you get a chance, PLEASE stop in before they close and experience how service used to (and still should) be!

What else can I say but Great tasting hotdogs. The price is up there but worth the value. They only had one older lady working there every time I come in. If there were several customers, expect a bit of a wait. There are enough varieties to satisfy anyone. In general, I would say kaspers are the best tasting dogs in the area. I would definitely recommend it to all hot dog lovers and all those who want to try it for the first time.

Super irritated when my fiancee, babygirl & I came in on a Sunday to eat before going grocery shopping. It was super hot inside! Like the lady working, short elderly woman, is alone. She was hella hot & sweaty. I didn't really mind. Kinda just felt bad and wish she had a bigger fan to keep her cool. Anyways we walked in. There was already a lady ordering 4 hot dogs. I believe for her co workers. So we wait like a good 6 mins.. as the lady was making them, and we walked in and were waiting she didn't even acknowledge us or say Hi, welcome in. So that was rude. I know she was busy, but a simple "i'll be right with you" was in order! Whatever I guess. The girl pays, then the lady goes to the back and come back out. Says hello to me and asks what I want. I specifically told her, nachos (cheese & jalepeños only) 1 hotdog (ketchup only!) 1 hotdog (with EVERYTHING) 1 coke, 1 orange drink & 1 water. Simple! She's making the nachos, good. My plain one, good, she's making the one with everything, my fiancee calls me over to tell me what kinda chips he wants. The baby gets a little fussy. I calm her down. I walk back and the lady is already charging me for everything. Okay cool. We take the food and go to table. Nobody walked in after us so the lady proceeded to sit at another table and read a magazine. We begin to eat, my husbands hotdog has barely anything on it but that wasn't the issue, she didnt add cheese or jalepeños. Two of the main items my fiancee likes on his casper dogs. So he goes and tells the lady she forgot. She then says "cheese is 35 cents extra & so are jalepeño." I then got upset and stood up and said, okay I asked for everything the first time. Why would you think I wouldn't want cheese get real? Plus it was HER mistake. So she should've bypassed the lousy 35 cents I had jalepeños from my nachos. I told him I'd give them to her. To just get his cheese. We didn't have any cash/coins, because we never carry cash or change kinda horrible on out part, lol. She realy still did a whole card transaction of 35 cents. It was the saddest thing I seen in my life. Another issue the orange drink was very flat! Just started like sugar water. That's another reason we enjoy this place, the famous orange drink! But we def won't return to this location!

Decent hot dogs, slow service not her fault because the owner obviously doesn’t care that the facilities are under staffed, the AC didn’t work so it was hot in the restaurant. The whole place seems dirty, everything is old and outdated and unkempt. I’m surprised they pass the sniff test with the health department. But good hot dogs regardless, though I’ve had better at this place, they are slipping and we plan to go to Casper’s (with a C) from now on.

So my son and I came here from Tracy Ca craving a dog. As we walked up, the worker was walking outside. We were the only patrons inside besides 1 couple and they were eating. We waited a few minutes thinking someone would come from the back area to take our order. Then the lady who was outside came in about 3 minutes later, wiped her hands on a towel and asked what we wanted. I politely asked if she minded washing her hands. She then said to me that she didn't need to wash her hands because she wiped them on the bleach towel. My son and I looked at each other. She then said do you want the hot dogs or not? I asked for her name. She said Barbara. I told her we would go to a different Kaspers. She then said...they dont wash their hands either! She then suggested we go to McDonald's because we wouldn't be able to see if they wash their hands or not. We went to the Kaspers on Hesperian. They washed their hands. The worker contacted this location and spoke to Barbara on speaker phone. SHE ADMITTED THAT SHE REFUSED TO WASH HER HANDS! The only lie she told was that there was a line out the door. No one else was in line except for us. We were informed that Barbara is the daughter of the owner and that there would be no repremand....I wonder if the health department would care about food handling with unwashed hands........

Well the Decided to give Kasper's Another chance got there this morning Sunday the 25th June at 11:20 walked up the doors were locked we start to walk away In disappointment.. Delayed I came in said no we're open let me unlock the door she unlocked the door and we say good morning she did not reply good morning back all she did was say O the dam air conditioner doesn't work and they have a lock Box on it and I can't turn up the airconditioner now I have to suffer all day in its hot. Oh well that was it my fault I was trying to be congenial and say good morning I didn't care to hear but me problem she started her attitude off right in the beginning. She said what do you want I said do casters dogs with everything he didn't wash your hands she didn't wiper hands she went and grabbed 2 hot dogs the bun and made the hot dogs a paid the bill and I ordered a large Coke once I got the bill I asked her how much was it she didn't reply 2nd time I said how much are the hot docs she said look at the board level tell you I said I'm sorry but I can't see the board it's blurry I have AI problem she did say I'm sorry I did not know that let me give you your receipt and a nasty attitude she gave me the receipt and I looked at it I said if I can't see the board with big letters how am I gonna see this then she went off just like a firecracker I got so upset I looked at her and I did say what a Bz&^%^ She took my money as soon as I sat down she came up to me and said I'm gonna have to ask you to leave I should why she goes because you called me A B I said look I'm not leaving yours I'm calling the cops I said great call the cops I don't done anything wrong and you're having a badd day and you're taking it out on me.. Holding behold a finish my hot dog and the Coke and my partner finish their hot dog.. And I heard her on the phone Pretending she was calling the cops I was laughing I had nothing to hide absolutely nothing so I waited form never showed up and I started laughing so I turned around and asked or are the cops coming or not because I don't wanna leave until they get here then she get more upset.. And here comes this older lady out of the back looking at me as if it was all my fault this little old lady Whoever she was should I just not intervene whatsoever actually she did not because she just looked at me didn't know what was going on I guess maybe she couldn't hear as well as I can't see... So we stayed there only sons people came then just happened to know and we shut down and talk to them for a while while they were getting their hotdogs and then we all left together.. This girl's attitude definitely needs to be cleaned up I go into this the show the at least twice a week I never go on a Sunday if usually during the week no lot of people that go into the same facility never been a problem.. I know that the or of this Kasper's Owns A few in the area..... I guess I can change facilities but this is so convenient for more I live Or the one in greenhouse.. If you look at last week I tried to visit this is silly to buy hot dogs again at 10:20 In the morning she was there but she wouldn't open the doors until 1030... Monday through Saturday the hours are 10 o'clock Sundays it's 11 o'clock get your employees don't know how to tell time or they figure you won't catch him when there Lake I don't know what the deal is..... So for this person you might wish to let her turn the air conditioning on the way she wants it so she has a better attitude and get rid of her stupid negative personality and are smart mouth... Folks my personal opinion I do not recommend this facility on Sundays for this obnoxious squirrelly Unhappy in the video especially in the retail business

Not impressed. Hot dogs are average, at best, and overpriced. Nothing special at all. It may be my perception, but I actually felt like I was an inconvenience just by asking for a hot dog.
