So as soon as you walk in you're just immediately shoved back into the 1990s Chinese cafeteria style restaurant. The smell, the sound, the everything. It's perfection. It's cheap, and they pile the food on until it's overflowing. I ordered duck over rice with another plate of chow fan and short rib and pork gluten and it came out to less than $20!?!
I don't know how but they're a treasure and I hope they continue to make it. They've been only open for 2 months and did poorly the first few months because they accidentally labelled themselves as a tourist info zone and not a restaurant. Support them.

This place is so good and the portions are huge! And not to mention super affordable… I got two orders of 2 item with half fried rice and noodles and it was $8.99 each. The chicken is cooked perfectly, crispy, not dry, and spicy chicken sauce was great. The roast pork was good too, but I kinda wish I tried the other chicken flavors. It was cool to see short rib as a menu item and the Mongolian beef had a weird color, but still delicious. Fried rice was okay, noodles were good.
Service was quick, it was no line at 12pm on a Monday (holiday). It is a cafeteria style so all the food is premade and you choose what you want.
It was chill vibes, it’s on e.14th by SL high school and there is a parking lot with tons of spots. Inside is clean but the booths look outdated, and would rather get takeout and eat it at home.
I eat a lot and couldn’t finish my meal bc of the portion size. I will be saving for dinner time. I will be returning since it’s right around the corner from where I live.
FYI credit/debit minimum is $15

This place is amazing. $8.99 for a 2 item combo. Huge portions and tastes great. Where that inflation at? Not at King Kong.

Saw this place during my visit. It’s a small and convenient casual cafe style with a cooked food counter, where you can choose what you like. So, good for a quick stop meal. We ordered the roast duck and soy chicken, were given 2-3 nice pieces of meat (from each type of meat), and the rest were bones and fatty parts. The roast meat was pretty good, came with small scoop of cabbage. There was also plenty of rice. Not bad for the price. Wouldn’t mind going back for the roast meat again.
Staff were friendly.
Note: no washrooms available.

Best roast goose in town! You gotta try it!
Food below average, I got the bbq duck and Roasted Meat fried rice. Bbq duck and roasted pork should microwave and get hot. And they don’t provide enough roasted duck juice so a little dry. The price doesn’t justify the quality of the food. I would pay more price for better food.

Amazing chinese takeout food and prices! The food has good flavor and is not too salty. Super friendly owners and would come back again soon!
