The owner is really very nice. They have great Lemongrass Chicken and BBQ pork sandwiches. As well as some of their noodles dishes. Thai tea many other drinks they offer there. Which is great you can call and order ahead.

Best Bahn mi sandwiches this side of the bay and the iced Thai coffee with boba is lovely. Reasonably priced too!

The lemongrass chicken was nothing special. It was just grilled chicken. The salad that came with it was better.

Where do I start? I went here for some spring rolls as a milk tea for lunch. The spring rolls were standard, which is why I give 3 stars. They were pretty good! The milk tea, however, was horrible. It is everything I fear in a milk tea drink when o order from a new place. The drink was nightmarishly sweet, I had to spit it out. To make matters worse the boba tasted like it was two days old. Kind of like when you bite into those wax soda-pop candies. Kind of like when I was exploring in Ghana and found a boba cafe and asked to sample their tapioca (good decision haha). Loving Tea, please don't serve boba like this anymore. Maybe cook small batches of boba every day.

The guy that works there has a really bad attitude, and the way he greets people is just BAD customers service, they take forever to make ur order at least 20/30 minutes even when ur the only one, DO NOT! recommend, & they charge for a bag, it’s a food place for crying out loud ??‍♀️ ITS NOT FOODMAX BUSY

This spot is such a hidden gem-- across the street from bayfair. They have some of the best Vietnamese sandwiches in the area (grilled chicken is my family's absolute fave!) I tried the spring rolls today and honestly, it was the sloppiest spring rolls I've ever seen. The bean sprouts on the inside were already browning, it wasn't even wrapped tightly, it was just a mess. I definitely won't be ordering spring rolls again, but will always be back for the sandwiches!

I decided to come here to use a Groupon that was about to be expired. The female employee questioned if my Groupon was valid. She took my phone and hit the redeem button and then told me "Oh sorry Dine in Only." Wtf, the dine-in area is blocked off!!!! The avocado smoothie taste like it's powered stuff, def not worth $6. Sandwich is good though.

It's amazing here. Food is always fresh and delicious, and good portions. Great option for light lunch. The #7 lemongrass chicken and the chicken pot stickers are my go to

We bought a $36 Groupon and hadn't been back since they first changed ownership years ago. So we decided to give it a try. Groupon terms require you to purchase 4 drinks, which leaves about $20 to spend on food. Prices for drinks went up some since the last Yelp menu was posted. We went over the Groupon value and just paid the difference. I was able to tell my mom the order and she found it very easy to place the order and pick up from the covid safe outside pick up window right at the door. DRINKS: regular size - Pina colada smoothie: Delicious! My mom is pretty picky but said it was as good as Jamba Juice. Prob the best of all the drinks. - Mango smoothie: Not too sweet and fairly flavorful. Liked how you could taste a hint of mango in it. A bit more pricey than the other drinks but like how it has fresh fruit. - Lychee smoothie: Not bad, pretty flavorful. But liked the other smoothie flavors more. - Overall, drinks were far better than I expected and the portions were generous. Loved how they also fill the cup beyond the brim and top it off wo cheating you like most places. The blended ice was noticeably "soft," "fluffy," smooth and refreshing. Texture of the smoothie kind of reminded me of softness of Shave Ice in Hawaii actually! Wor wonton - regular size - I didn't expect much from a Vietnamese place trying to make a Chinese soup. But, boy was a wrong. This was my favorite food item! It's all about the wonton! Wontons were large, super juicy, fresh and tasty. We got 10 wontons, but if you get it with noodles they said you get 6. The wontons may be perhaps one of the best that I've tasted! The rest of the ingredients in the soup were just ok but they really pack the soup to the brim w ingredients (shrimp, chicken, pork, bbq pork, lettuce). I do wish we did have more soup but, I appreciate how there were a lot of ingredients. I can't believe there were not any postings about or pics of the wor wonton and usually I don't order anything wo reviews. But, I'm glad we took a chance. The cook forgot to add the shrimp wo us knowing and was nice enough to chase us down as we were driving away so she could add it to our soup. It was nice that she was so honest! Lemongrass Chicken w vermicelli - regular size - Similar to that of the original owner but more expensive now, of course. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Lots of vermicelli and veggies given. Fish sauce was a little salty and there was not enough for the amount of food. Relatively decent but for the price I may prefer to get Vietnamese vermicelli bowls at other restaurants. Lemongrass pork sandwich - Sadly disappointing. I've had far better Vietnamese sandwiches. There was barely any meat and it was kind of bland. The meat was also a bit tough and the bread was kind of hard (but sometimes it can be from usual toasting). Overall, this place is not bad and would be willing to come back for drinks and wontons! :) A great place to support local small businesses. It does take about 20-25 mins for them to make the order as other Yelpers mentioned, so make sure to plan ahead.

I've driven by this place a hundred times and I finally decided one day after a ups trip to give it a try. This is definitely a mom and pop shop and it almost seems as if they are all family there. While I love supporting small businesses I do think they need to work on their timing in preparing. I ordered 5 sandwiches and it took 30 mins to get it to go.. mind your they are cold cut. When I initially arrived and ordered there was also no other customers! So I really should have been in and out. The actual sandwiches themselves were quite tasty and they don't skimp on the filling. All in all 3.5 stars. They lost 1 star on timing and half a star for the cleanliness.. it didn't feel all that clean in there.

We came to grab dinner here on 12/16 because I had a Groupon voucher that was expiring. We actually had a great experience here! We had a an $18 voucher and it was required that you purchase 2 drinks to use it. We ordered one small Vietnamese coffee, one large mango tea, and 2 grilled chicken banh mi. Everything was so good! The coffee was very sweet, but I can't say enough good things about it. The banh mi was great, too. Plenty of chicken and veggies, and the roll was well toasted. It's been a couple years since I've had a good banh mi and I'm glad I found a place so close to home. Our total turned out to be roughly $21 for the 4 items, so we paid a couple dollars out of pocket + tip. Wish we had taken some pictures of the food and menu, but I'm sure we will be back soon, so I will definitely update this review! This is an awesome small business to support.

I am a fan. Banh Mi Ba Le in Oakland is still the best Bay Area banh mi but this place is actually pretty decent. The bread they use is good and the filling is tasty. The cafe sua da is not bad either. It's on the sweeter side but has a nice viscosity that a lot of places don't do. Have not eaten anything else but if you want a banh mi this is a good place to pop in.
