Definitely a solid 3.5 stars. Service is excellent. From the point I walked in to when I left. Super helpful. I ordered the combo with a chile relleno, shredded beef taco and ground beef enchilada. Although it comes with a house salad, it certainly was not necessary at all. The avocado dressing tasted a little on the old and bland side. I'd pay the same for the combo without the salad. The shredded beef taco was good. Adding a bit more seasoning and have it less cooked, would make it perfect to the bite. Unfortunately I did not finish the small ground beef enchilada as the flavor of the beef did not agree with me. I think others may enjoy it though. The chile relleno was fire. I loved it. Perfectly made and just the right amount of cheese. Best dish here. The combo does come with rice and beans. The beans were delicious as if I was at my mom's but the rice a little on the bland side. Overall, a solid place. You just have to find what you like and avoid some dishes. I definitely would order the chile relleno again. Oh.. and the salsa was perfect! I had two bowls of it. Yum!!!

I was greeted by Kenna who was very helpful. She really acknowledge me and let me know that it's a little busy and which is understandable. Being acknowledge when it busy means a lot instead of being ignored like most places. Now I come here weekly for pick up because of her customer service and great food. Thank you!

Don't eat here. I've gotten sick with my daughter eating from here. I'm not sure if it was the tall skinny Caucasian waitress or the Mexican cooks. It was disgusting and sickening. I went to the hospital and they found traces of poison in my food i ate from MAMA LUPE COCINA.My daughter was also diagnosed with food poisoning and the food they found it in was from MAMA lupe..It's sad. Very sad. Jealousy will be found in the restaurant because they will get you sick. It's unbelievable.I tipped them and the food ends up being poisoned.They judge who comes in there. If you're black they will make your food bad so u don't come back. If you're white they will take care of you. It's obvious how this white lady works.I seen her talk with the cook and out of nowhere both me and my 13 year old daughter get food poisoning?Wow. Word around is the white lady is the wife of the owner.So ladies, this issue is one of those. She seen a beautiful girl like me and her husband was serving me and my daughter. And probably got jealous.If only her husband knew she flirts with a lot of men when he isn't there.

I ordered alPastor burrito and my meat look like chorizo even tasted like itThe other burrito my friend didn’t like it because of the meat also the burrito was supposed to have the sour cream inside not outside meh we wasn’t happy felt like we waste money better off at the taco truck in Oakland

We haven’t been in Mama Lupe’s for about 15 years, so decided to have lunch there today since it’s near our house. We were pleasantly surprised with the interior decorations and ambiance that Efron has made to the restaurant. Our food was excellent, the portions were good, and the service was very customer friendly. We will definitely be back again and again.
Nice remodel. The spicy margaritas are extra HOT. Attentive and friendly staff.

We are from the east coast (Boston). We have tried a lot of Mexican restaurants . This place was incredible. We started with oysters, the main dish, carnitas and tostadas. "Out of the world" No waits, maybe because of the time of the day, but the service was incredibly excellent. The owners stop by and say hello !!!! The service was really nice, our waitress was attentive. I liked how clean the restaurant was but the food was disappointing. I was craving some authentic Mexican food but the steak tasted like it was reheated. The pozole was really salty and it didn’t taste like pozole. I’m not Mexican but I’ve never seen avocado in the pozole. (Only if you want to add it on top). I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
