Ordered delivery and my chicken teriyaki is overcooked. Dry dark meat. Not tender like other chicken teriyaki I've had. Big portion but inedible.
Food is amazing and very generous! Very fast and efficient.
I just keep coming back for the food, the Loco Moco, the spam, the malasadas
So 😋
This place hands down is the best Hawaiian plates in the 510. The chicken is fat. The beef is fat. The Mac is hella good. And the plates are priced very well. This place is a solid go too. And the lady that works the counter is always nice.
Great service. Good Portions.

I was jonesing for a plate lunch and this did really fit the bill. The pretty enormous amount of kalua pork had just the right amount of salt, and was smoky. There was not too much cabbage, which was a nice change from places that mix in a lot of cabbage to lower costs. I was actually wanting a bit more cabbage. The steamed veg was about 2 bites of broccoli.
I also ordered the malasadas and, while they aren't Leonard's quality, definitely scratched that itch. They were put in the box hot and the clerk wisely punched a good sized hole in it to let the steam out. They're about the size of lime and decently fluffy inside, a bit of crispness outside, cooked the right amount.
Will definitely come again!

I rarely write reviews, mainly just out of laziness haha. But for this place, I just had to as my first.
I've been going to this place as my main Hawaiian BBQ joint for the past few months and for a good reason. I always order the chicken katsu plate as it's my go-to.
The chicken katsu has a very good ratio between the meat to breading. The breading they use delivers that satisfactory crunch and the chicken has a good thickness to it yet still keeping its tenderness and moisture. Nobody likes dry chicken. The macaroni salad had the right amount of creaminess, and paired with rice and veggies made it a filling meal. Not only is this plate so tasty, you get SO much chicken at an affordable price. Of course, if ordering take out I do recommend eating it asap as the moisture will make the breading a bit more soft (still had a nice crunch after 20 mins!)
Another dish I highly recommend is the BBQ Beef plate. I don't what kind of marinate or seasoning they use, but its so damn flavorful. The same quality goes for this plate as the beef retains its moisture and tenderness due to it being thinly sliced. I wish I had some photos to provide but I always end up eating everything before I remember to.
I would love to try other plates if the first two weren't so addictive. I always receive great and quick service, the atmosphere of the restaurant doesn't really stand out in my opinion, but why does that matter when the food is too good. I do appreciate that it's always clean though.
One thing some restaurants lack is consistency. But whenever I order from this restaurant they always provide nothing but the best quality. PLENTIFUL amounts of food at an affordable price? Stop reading this and get your butts over to this place, order takeout/delivery, do what you gotta do to experience it :)

I’ve eaten at Moana Hawaiian BBQ before. I can honestly say their food and service does not disappoint. Fresh, and tasty with generous portions.
Parking: Parking was available right outside the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: I usually get the mini meal, which is more than enough for me.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, the restaurant has wheelchair accessibility.
