I am rating the food a 1star because it was bad.I ordered the catfish dinner with collard greens,Mac’n cheese and catfish but the fish was not catfish it was basa fish and I know the difference.And the mac’n cheese was mushy and over cooked and it was kind of spicy hot and the collard greens were bland with no meat like ham or ham hocks.I don’t know what happened because the first time I I came there several months ago it was good but this time it wasn’t

People working here are friendly, really old-fashioned friendly. The food is absolutely the best! This is definitely a hidden gem of the East Bay; once you come and enjoy the delicious catfish and chicken, you’ll keep coming back. I guarantee it!! Oh, did I mention the lemon cake? Outstanding!!

Perfect spot for some comfort food! The owner is amazing - kind and friendly, and so welcoming. I got the fish sandwich and I know I'll be dreaming of it and craving it incessantly. Prices are fair; for me, I ended up having 2 meals out of it. Beautifully decorated, the food is cooked to order. If you're debating it, just go for it - you're bound to find something you'll love!
