The combination Won Ton soup was flavorless and with 3 shrimps. Not ordering ever again.

Best take out ever, idk what people are saying you know some restaurants specialize in certain things. The sesame chicken, fried rice and chow mein are the BESTTTT flavor hits every time and has a smokiness to the food, been coming here since I was a kid . I now live where there's a whole Chinatown and I drive to San Leandro every time I want Chinese food. If they ever close i will cry.

Food good but my friend thought cold. Cold dining room because cooks had dining room window open. Ugly atmosphere. Terrible service because busy with take out orders.

Ordered the general chicken and chow mein. It was really good and they gave me a lot! The cashier and cook were super nice as well.

Went here last minute yesterday since I needed something quick for dinner, food was ok it wasn't anything special but it wasn't horrible either. If you need something quick this is the spot. Portions are also big so you can definitely share a lunch plate. There was no one dinning in when I arrived, seems like a quiet spot, women at the front was kind and helped open the door for me. Seems like a family ran buisness so pay them a visit. Sesame chicken- 7/10 (very crunchy I loved that) General chicken- 5/10 ( general chicken was a little too soggy)

Loved the food. We ordered kung pao tofu and kung pao chicken. The food was fresh and very tasty. The quantity was more than what we could have. Thanks again for the wonderful food and customer service. We will surely be back.

"Cheap Chinese" food that is good, is hard to find these days. And let's face it, it isn't cheap anymore! That said, I keep coming back to Rose Garden because their food is always good, they have fast delivery (and the food is always hot), and even though a meal for "two" is $40+ delivered, we always have leftovers for the following day. 2-3 meals actually makes it a bargain! We keep trying other Chinese restaurants, and regret it every time... Rose Garden is our go to!

Mongolian Beef and Hot/Sour Soup was great. Pork chops had too much batter, but I will order here again as teo of my favorite items were good.

We Always order their food, been since we moved down the street 3 years ago haven't been disappointed, always give more than we need! The folks there are always kind. Never ate inside seems more of a take out but you can eat there.

Rose Garden Chinese Food stands out as a hidden gem in the East Bay, earning its place among my favorite restaurants. While the ambience may appear somewhat shady with its dark exterior, the culinary delights inside are nothing short of impressive. One of the key highlights of Rose Garden is its reasonable prices, making it an attractive option for those seeking delicious Chinese cuisine without breaking the bank. The menu offers a diverse range of options, and every dish seems to hit the mark in terms of flavor and quality. Despite the initial reservations one might have based on the restaurant's appearance, I strongly urge patrons not to be deterred by the dim exterior. Once inside, the cozy and inviting atmosphere dispels any concerns, creating a comfortable setting for an enjoyable dining experience. What sets Rose Garden apart is the consistently high quality across their menu. Whether it's the savory General Chicken, the flavorful Chicken Lo Mein, the perfectly balanced Sweet and Sour Pork, or the mouthwatering Salt and Pepper Chicken or Pork, every dish is a culinary delight. The chefs at Rose Garden have mastered the art of Chinese cuisine, ensuring that each bite is a burst of authentic and satisfying flavors. In my numerous visits, I have found it challenging to pinpoint a single favorite dish as everything on the menu seems to exceed expectations. The variety of options ensures that there is something for every palate, making it a go-to spot for both regulars and those exploring the restaurant for the first time. In conclusion, Rose Garden Chinese Food has rightfully earned its place as a favorite in the East Bay. With reasonable prices, an unassuming yet inviting ambiance, and a menu that consistently delivers on taste, it's a culinary haven for anyone craving exceptional Chinese cuisine. Whether you're a fan of General Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork, Salt and Pepper Chicken or Pork, or any other dish on the menu, Rose Garden is sure to leave your taste buds satisfied and eagerly anticipating your next visit. Rating Food: 4.6 Price: 4 Ambiance: 2.5 Service: 4 Overall: 4.5 My go to spot when it comes to Chinese food.

Their salt and pepper tofu is really delicious. I like their wonton soup and the orange chicken (my husband likes to ask for it spicy and it's so good). I usually order over the phone, they are quick and accurate.

The food was horrible! Every single thing we ordered was bad, chow fun had a funny taste and was soooo mushy, the rice was burnt, even the roasted duck was off..

I just moved from Alameda and sold my car. My options for the city and peninsula food I grew up to go to is now limited. When it was raining the other week, I was craving a hot bowl of soup and came to Rose Garden. The service was quick, the staff was efficient and the food felt like a hug. I almost finished the entire serving of the hot and sour soup but remembered I had other items coming. The chow fun was extremely filling and comforting. I will be back! First review of 2024

One of the few Chinese restaurants that was open on New Year's Day but let me tell you the Beef Chow Mein was the best I've ever tasted. I have eaten from other places that served the same thing but my problem was that those places overdone on the vegetables when serving up their entrée. Not Rose Garden they modestly add the vegetables in there and give you more noodle and beef. For the portions you get you can feed 2 people or you can have lunch and dinner for yourself. Worth a try if you are bored of the other places to eat at.
