Special Hainan Chicken 和记海南鸡饭

The prices on their website are higher than in the store. I actually placed an order online, and for example the Hainan Chicken Noodle Soup is $13.50 in the restaurant but $15.99 on their site. I asked the staff and they first said the prices are the same, but when I showed them the website they couldn’t explain. Very confusing and not transparent.

1st time there. I have the pig feet soup noodles, the meat is tender n marinated perfectly. My father have the Hainan chicken rice plate; also good. We have the pumpkin fried mochi thingy. ( IDK wat it's called) . I loved that one. The place is pretty crowded for a weekday lunch. Kind of stuffy in there. Will be back.

The Service was very bad . The waiter gets angry easily and often yells at customers in the kitchen, which makes the customers feel very upset.

Food is ok. But service…… She wore a look of reluctance and there was no mistaking the sternness in her tone.

I love this place because it is affordable, the food is good and pretty healthy but not too healthy.
Seems like a silly statement but it really matters when you go to a place regularly. Hainan chicken rice is very good but so are the other dishes that I have tried here.

Ordered their special hainan chicken on a Saturday lunch time. The place was packed. On a wait list but within 10 or so minutes, for a party of four, before we were accommodated. Food is good. The prices of food were worth it.

Awesome chicken

We came to eat on New Year's Day. The waiter chose and forced us to sit near the smelly toilet even though the restaurant was not crowded at that time. The foreign customer next to us asked about the menu but the waiter ignored it, did not explain and growled and told the customer to choose from the menu. The waiter had a grim face and just brought us the food but nothing special. When paying, the waiter loudly embarrassed my husband when paying and pointed at the bill in annoyance that we were forced to tip more than 15%. The service was terrible, will never come back to the restaurant.

12/14/2024, @ 1pm, small seating area, 4 -2 person table and 4-4 person table. Affiliated with Special Noodle. Fast service, friendly staff.

This is a hidden gem. You don't feel like chugging water after eating here. Their rice dishes and noodle soups are always good. I think they don't put MSG in their soups. The chicken is always fresh and portion sizes never disappoint. This is the best Hainan chicken/chinese food in the area!
