This place is a hidden gem! The owner greeted us and asked if we were familiar with filipino food. I told him not really and he sampled some of their chicken and pickled vegetables. Wow! This place is off the chain amazing. When you walk in it's clean and welcoming, the service was friendly and quick, and the food was out of this world. I got the BBQ chicken banh mi and lumpia, the sandwich was generous and the garnishes were fresh, while the lumpia was crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside. I will absolutely be coming back, this is one of the best hidden gems I have found in the bay.
Chef Rene is one of the best business owners out there! He recently came to my school as a guest speaker for my club (Business & Entrepreneurship Club), where he shared his inspiring story in creating Thank Que Grill. He brought lumpia shanghai and turkey lumpia sliders, which were so delicious and showcased the traditional flavors and innovative twists Chef Rene brings to the table. I highly recommend Chef Rene and Thank Que Grill, and look forward to trying all of his dishes...
