We enjoyed the last night of comedy hosted by Michael Booker, after 16 years! The Englander is closing. I will miss the food and the great drinks as well.

So sad to see this iconic restaurant close. The fish and chips, and Shepard's pie were authentic English dishes. We will miss the giant ref phone booth that greated you on the patio.

First time at the Englander. Went on a Friday night before it got crowded. We waited quite a while before we got a server to take our order. We ordered the fish and chips and 16 piece chicken wings. We also had to wait awhile for our food to come. Two small pieces of fish and instead of 16 we got 8 chicken wings and no fries. We had to complain about our order and he took $5 off the bill. He said they only have 1 cook and he was the only server. But at least he should know what we ordered and explained the situation when he brought the food and not wait for us to complain. Also it appears they cater to the regular customers and not us. Food was just ok.

I really enjoy this place and I'm so sad it's getting taken down if I could help I would I'm sorry. I have really good memories here and I'd hate to see them go. They're seafood pasta is amazing I love it so much I order this every time I come here.

It appears they will be closing at the end of February. We used to love going here. It has been steadily declining for a long time. Last time I was there they didn't have the food I wanted to order and we went through several beers before we found a beer they had. It is really too bad to see this pub closing, but unfortunately it isn't a surprise. Hopefully something new will move in soon that attracts customers and supports the community. Good luck to the owners and to the staff.

The new owners are a breath of fresh air. The wine bar is a great addition to this classic downtown eatery.

Great meeting rooms for events and groups. The owner was awesome to open early for us to come in and have a work session. The food and service is always very good. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic and delicious food, I love the mood the spot has, and the cashiers were super nice. I will definitely visit here when I’m around.

As we approached the door with a stroller and a toddler, the hostess did not bother to open and hold the door for us, even though she could see us coming. I ordered a cheeseburger that was missing toppings. The beef patty was almost non existent, and it was burnt (I asked for medium rare). The chicken sandwich lacked flavor and was also missing toppings that we requested. They added gratuity automatically even though we weren't in a large group. The hostess was also our waitress and she didn't have a single ounce of good customer service. When we left, no one thanked us for dining and no one helped us with the door. I will not go back to this excuse for a restaurant again, and I don't recommend unless you like burnt burgers.

It was understaffed and a smaller beer selection when I was there, but what they had was good. The soccer memorabilia decor looked good, too.

Consistently terrible service. I've been here four times. The beer selection is excellent. The food is aggressively mediocre. Every time I patronize this place I get the idea that they cater to their regulars, and everyone else gets for the most part ignored.

Food is average. Prices are a bit high. But a nice change from the Asian market dominated area.
