The bite Cafe is the Best Cafe in the World . There food is very good & fresh the place is also very clean! They have excellent costumer service! Bite café is the way to go!

The Bite is inside the Youth Center.on E. 14th next to the concrete rink for skateboarders. menu is comfort food cooked to order, various kinds of sammies, burgers, salads. elderly, energytic black lady ran the show herself. quick service. eats: chicken & cheese quesadilla (6.5) -can be customized. i nix jalaepenos, some chilis got in somehow. -sour cream very drippy at the start so be crazy. -nice comfort food, q had a little char on it's seat. no biggie. -side of potato size needed to be warmed up to tasty regularly, otherwise too cold. takeouts. -closes early saturdays, sundays. -limited parking nearby.

Found this place just by searching on Yelp. I went there for the first time today. I got the BBQ chicken sandwhich, EXCELLENT!! The place is a little hard to find at first, but other than that it's great!! FYI, it's located in the Youth center on E14th. If you are on E14TH facing the youth center, it's on the right corner of the building. Very friendly woman running it. Excellent service!!

This is the Cafe' that is run without greed, the best salads and sandwiches you can get for under $7.00. The owner/chef of the Cafe' is as personable and friendly as you can get. Why spend $12.00 to $15.00 for a crappy lunch that won't worth, add on that bad service and attitude. Visit this café, specially if you are around San Leandro area.

The Bite in REACH Ashland Youth Center is hands down AMAZING (and inside of a youth center!!!)!!! The food is affordable for us student members of younger age. They make your food in a timely manner. REACH employs students/members to work at The Bite (even though it's an independently owned cafe) which is a great opportunity to make money (thanks to Alameda County!) There is a great variety of food choices. REACH has always been a great resource to me since I was a member in my upperclassmen years of high school. It was great to be involved in it's planning stages. I always make sure I come back on college breaks to visit. Mama True (the owner) is a doll and the sweetest person you will ever meet! Go grab a bite at The Bite!!!! :-)

The Bite Cafe in San Leandro is one of the best coffee and sandwich shop around. They have amazing hot foods, like Quesadillas, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Lasagna and more... And the owner of the Cafe'is a real pleasent woman, it is a delight even to interact with her. Healthy food for the neighborhood. Bravo!

Woohoo! I'm so excited to be the first to review the Bite. Part of the REACH Ashland Youth Center, the Bite Cafe offers much-needed healthy food alternatives to the Ashland neighborhood. I've had their lasagna, chicken quesadilla, BLT wrap, smoothies, salads.. - all so delicious and for a really good price. Full meals for $5 or less. Oh, and they launched a breakfast menu, too, if you wanna jumpstart your day with some breakfast goodness. They've got burritos, sandwiches, and cereal. Also, there's lots of parking, lots of tables, great lighting, fun atmosphere. :) The five star clencher, though, is the cafe's owner True. She's super nice, sweet, and really cares about the quality of food she's serving. True and her cooking def make you feel right at home. The only thing is that there aren't really any signs out on the street about the cafe, so it can be easy to miss. But, don't miss out!! The cafe welcomes all people from the public, though the rest of the youth center is only open to members. Any neighbors who are curious about this magnificent youth center, too, can get a good look from the cafe. Some tips: cash only and expect to wait like 5 minutes or so for your food. They cook to order which is fast, but don't expect grab-and-go. I'd def recommend this place! It helps your growling stomach and helps a great business.
