Xiang Yuen Xiao Long Bao

I was excited for XLB, but the crab edition has pork mixed in & I don't eat pork. The House Soup w/ lunch is a light veggie egg drop. The Chicken & Broccoli lunch had tender meat, sauce was benign.

Decent Xiao Long Bao in San Leandro. There are many different dumpling varieties to choose from including Sheng Jian Bao and traditional entrees as well. Service is ok. About what you’d expect. Fast and impersonal. Parking isn’t too bad on the part of East 14th.

This little place has a homey-vibe. Good quality food, fast service. Order the sauteed green beans, Xiao long bao, noodle and green onion sauce, and homemade dumplings. Everything was fresh and delicious. I know a place is good when Chinese families have dinner there.

Best bang for your bucks. 4 items cost less than $20 per person after tax. The xiao long baos and pan fried pork buns weren't overcooked so they all had a good amount of broth. Mixed feedback for the pot stickers. It didn't have any green onions, which helps with the flavors, but some people do hate green onions.

Dandan noodle, xiao long bao are very authentic and delicious. Pork and bamboo soup in pottery pot is also a must order.

I was very skeptical about this place went in on a Wednesday afternoon around 4pm and place was basically empty. Flies seemed to be flying around the place, but that didn’t stop us. They served complimentary hot tea while we placed our order. We got pork Xiao Long Bao, twice cooked pork, egg plant in garlic sauce and mapo tofu. The entrees don’t come with rice unless you ask they all tasted good, but nothing phenomenal. The xiao long baos were the star of the meal; really great flavor in the broth and dumpling wrapper was thin and chewy. I’d definitely come back if I was craving for an affordable Chinese meal.

Delicious, no frills, dim sum and other Chinese dishes. Everything I’ve had here has been quite tasty, the service is friendly and fast. If they are busy it might not be as friendly but the food is always made to order and fresh. The crab XLBs are to die for and the dry fried green beans are also a favorite.

The fried pork bun and the Xiao Long Bao saved the the day. And prob will only return for those two items. Dim sum menu is very limited. We tried other non-dim sum items but we're not impressed. We were seated quickly but had to wait forever to get the menu and you can imagine how long it takes to get our orders in let alone our food coming out. It wasn't busy. The services is just not there. If the item we order takes longer to cook, feel free to let us know; however, I see table that came after us and clearing out before us and we do order some similar plate. 1st time here but willing to give it another shot and will adjust rating and recommendations.

Dropped by here over the weekend. Been coming here for years, long before the pandemic. Been to other places that sell dumplings too. Some of those places sell premium dumplings too. The dumplings at this place are good. On par with the expensive places around the bay, even in LA.The service is okay. The atmosphere is casual.Definitely my go to pot for dumplings.
