Dropped by here over the weekend. Been coming here for years, long before the pandemic. Been to other places that sell dumplings too. Some of those places sell premium dumplings too. The dumplings at this place are good. On par with the expensive places around the bay, even in LA.The service is okay. The atmosphere is casual.Definitely my go to pot for dumplings.

Delicious, no frills, dim sum and other Chinese dishes. Everything I’ve had here has been quite tasty, the service is friendly and fast. If they are busy it might not be as friendly but the food is always made to order and fresh. The crab XLBs are to die for and the dry fried green beans are also a favorite.

Went for lunch with my partner and we both enjoyed it. The place has potential. It looks very spacious but they opted to keep people in one segment of the building. The food itself was great and there was a decent amount of customers. The place had atleast 3 or 4 other parties there at a time and everyone was mindful of others. The food was really delicious, like literally everything we tried. We will definitely go back. The only thing I wish they could add is beer.

I ordered the braised eggplant with fish garlic sauce, and the pork noodle dish. While each dish was cooked with precision, the flavors failed to leave a lasting impression. Despite their culinary craftsmanship, the flavors lacked the depth and vibrancy I had hoped for, leaving me searching for ways to enhance the taste so I added soy sauce and chili sauce. The restaurant serves as a casual outing, However, for those in pursuit of culinary enchantment and gastronomic delight, it may be worth exploring other dishes for a more captivating experience. There were fresh dumplings being made, so if I come back, I will definitely order some of those. The restaurant was pretty, quiet, and a tip I would give to the owner is to play some music in the background.

The soup dumplings were good. The other dumplings were good too but for some reason the potstickers were very liquidy/seemed like they had soup in them too and were just okay. They were not pan fried on all sides, just one. The hot and sour soup was more sour than hot to me so it was just okay. The green onion pancake was good and the shrimp fried rice everyone liked as well.We went on thanksgiving day for lunch after picking up my cousin from the airport so we were seated quickly and the service was fine. I don’t think anyone wanted to be there but it was a holiday so that’s understandable. The ambiance was fine and we were seated at a large round table since we had a big group. There used to be another restaurant here that was good and this was a decent replacement. It’s walking distance from my parents’ house so we will come again. I probably wouldn’t order the potstickers again and just get more dumplings. The dumplings were the best. The green onion pancake was tasty but very greasy. I would eat it again but not often since there was so much oil.

If you are looking for big dishes, this place is not for you. This place give out small plate. Food is decent. Xiao long bao is only average. First time try Chengdu fried rice and it's not bad; a little spicy.

Tried this for the first time and will be back. Ordered the string beans, pork won ton with spicy peanut sauce, sautéed eggplant - all were good but THE PAN-FRIED PORK BAO (bun) was one of the best I've had! The bun was just the right thickness, soft on top with a crispy bottom and inside was a delicious savory pork meatball with a very flavorful soup/gravy that was an absolute highlight! Overall the food was well enjoyed and will definitely be back for those pan-fried pork bao! - do not miss out on those!

What a bush and popular place with families of all ethnicities including Asian! The young server was very busy taking orders at tables and over the phone! Finally got a chance to try this restaurant. The dishes are all decent. The meats in the baos were both tasty. The string beans were nicely cooked. All were fine but maybe I had higher expectations. It's very popular so support local!

We came for dinner on a weeknight, there was lots of seating and not too busy. Seems like a lot of people order takeout. We ordered:- Crispy fried buns: wow so good! These really live up to their name, soo crispy! The bottom was fried very crispy but not burnt. The meat inside was soft and very juicy. Seems like a simple bun but it had much flavor. Def recommend getting this one!- Spicy wontons: the sauce looks red and very spicy but it wasn't too bad. The wonton skin was smooth and didn't fall apart when picked up. The meat was not dry and was well-seasoned. - Shanghai xiao long bao: came out pipping hot so we had to wait for the soup inside to cool down a bit. The skin held up well and didn't fall apart when picked up. They give you tongs to pick up the dumplings. Juicy and tender meat. - Pork homemade dumplings: the skin was chewy and thicker compared to other dumplings but I think that's their traditional way of preparing them. Comes with a dipping sauce. Overall, solid place for freshly-made dumplings (you can see the employees making the food thru the glass window). Food is cooked right when you order so everything comes out nice and hot! Very good value for the price point. This will be my new go-to for dumplings in the area!

My family and I love coming here! Good quality food. Parking is hit or miss and it's sometimes really cold in the restaurant. Service is super quick! We love the:* Pork Xiao Long Bao* Dan Dan Noodles * Dry Sautéed String Beans* Pan Fried Dumplings (Sheng Jian Bao)* Spicy Pork Wontons in Chili* Shanghai Style Fried Udon* Ma Po TofuThere are some dishes that are misses. I'd pass on the Shanghai Siu Mai. The Pan Fried House special noodles wasn't that good by comparison. We typically order on DinInfo/BeyondMenu for takeout. Always a seamless experience! Definitely recommend coming to Xiang Yuan Xiao Long Bao.
