I live close to this place so it's convenient but also very good food. The boba drinks are my son's favorite at Tao's.

My go-to place for Basil Popcorn Chicken! The kids from the high school seem to love this place...but if you go while they're (supposed to be) in class, there's usually no wait! Also good to order online ahead of time!

Food was just ok. The meat was tasteless, salmon was fishy. Drinks are too too sweet. The protein was not good quality.

Absolutely delicious. The Calamari was amazing although I wish there was a dipping sauce. The crab app was my favorite . The chicken and salmon (main dishes) were very good. Service was excellent as our server was always replacing our water A bit odd location but when in town, I would definitely go here again

Food is good, I like the variety they offer. But when my bf went up to pay with card, the woman at the counter looked shocked and pressured him to tip when he crossed out that option. We always tip with cash. It left a bad taste in our mouths. Today was my third visit, and I will not be back.

I've been to Tao's Fresh multiple times and the food never ceases to amaze me! I love getting the beef udon and sometimes would grab a side of the popcorn chicken. The portions are pretty good for the price and satisfies me! Great for takeout too, but definitely a good experience with the hot plate when dining in.

The beef pepper rice taste good and calamari is ok and a bit pricey. Overall had a great experience with the server she was very nice.

Came here on a weekday at 6pm and had to wait about 30 mins for a table. Popular little hidden spot in SLZ. Food here was pretty good, just not wowed. Our table ordered: Curry beef cheese udon: looked good, not my fav curry flavor. Udon was a little mush as it cooked in the hot plate. Beef rice cheese: good flavor, like the cheesy pull. Wished the plate was hotter to sear the rice and meat a bit more. Beef udon: next time I should add the teriyaki and soy before mixing the plate. Beef needed some flavor. And garlic butter needed a bit more garlic. Udon became super soft by the end of dinner. Popcorn chicken: yum! Good crunch w 5 spice powder. Tempura shrimp: skip! Tiny shrimp w a lot of batter. Lots of parking here, cozy restaurants with not much seating. Service was ok.

This is my favorite place to eat here in East bay. I love any of their sizzling plates . Their service is exceptional. Every server we have had interaction with are incredibly polite.

It gives mom and pop vibes, the people are so nice and the food comes out quick! I usually get the beef udon or beef with rice and both come out great every time!

Great quick lunch spot, but due to the sizzling, be prepared to have the small lingers. Very satisifed with the beef udon- simple, yet delicious when add sauces in, especially the hot sauce (sriracha). Jasmine Green Tea is the same Tasty Pot's and very enjoyable. Service is OK!

I've only had noodle bowls (sizzling plate), Hawaiian combos and calamari. All excellent and very consistent. Eaten there over 20 times, never a bad night, Nice ppl

This review is long overdue, but this is my and my husband's FAVORITE local spot for sizzling plate. Even though we no longer live near the area, when we're visiting family/friends and running errands around the area, we like stopping by to eat at Tao's Fresh. My husband usually orders the #1 beef & rice sizzling plate and I usually get the #4 beef & rice w/ kimchi sizzling plate. It's nice to see elderly people come here with their friends or family. As one of the reviews mentioned, this restaurant is cozy and clean. Tao's Fresh has a small space, but I've never had to wait too long to get seated. Service has room for improvement (staff didn't check on us or fill our water too often), but that's not we come here. We come here for the food! I'm happy that Tao's Fresh has been in the San Lorenzo community for some time now, and hope they'll be here for many more years to come.Parking: If it's not too busy in the plaza, it's very easy to find parking.
