6/17/23 If I could give Peking a -0 I would!!! Went there celebrating Father's Day for whom has passed. When arriving I asked if we can hv one of the round tables , mind you they were not busy, one table was occupied with 4people.She said another person is in the restroom. We were a party of four which one was a stocky guy and we wanted comfort but also the amount of food how's it going to fit on the table. She the Asian tall girl with glasses said no we could not hv a bigger table. Ok so we sat, cramped, food piled on table, she moved our drinks to the edge for there wasn't room Anyhow almost finished with meal and a family was seated behind us and the gentleman says to the host can they get a big round table because the food isn't going to fit on this table. Same host she says of course, they walked by , it was a party of 4!! They were Asian or Filipino and the party who was sitting there when we came in was Asian as well I was pissed!! I don't care if she didn't like us and or if she's racist or what !!You TREAT EVERYONE the same!!!SHE IS THE RUDEST PERSON HOW THEY CONTINUE TO HAVE BUSINESS I DO NOT KNOW!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! SHE US A HORRIBLE RUDE PERSON!!!!! Also there szchewan beef was REALLY SALTY 6/17/23 If I could give Peking a -0 I would!!! Went there celebrating Father's Day for whom has passed. Peking Garden has been my local go to restaurant for many years. However, my last visit was a big disappointment. I had recommended this place to family members visiting me and we ordered the Szechuan beef and chicken fried rice. Both dishes were of low quality. The Szechuan beef did not at all have any beef in it. It was a crusty flour coated with some sauce. I had to open it to show the waiter that there was no beef in it just plain flour. As for the fried rice it was drenched in soya sauce with small lumps of salt crystals. Both items were of poor quality and the waitresses did not seem to care even to change the items or offer a refund. I hope the restaurant looks into these and makes changes. As for now I do not see myself going there, but if I see better reviews in the next 6 months I may. But I am in no hurry to visit Peking Garden again.

My family has been coming here for over 25yrs, but now we will not be returning. I do not recommend anyone coming here, and would give them negative stars if possible. While the food has been decent and pricing okay, every time we come they have done something or another wrong with our bill where it comes out $2-3 more than what it should be. We just ask for the itemized receipt and it's all fine after that for the most part. However today, they tried to overcharge us by almost $10. We ordered the medium wonton soup ($14.95), black bean sauce chicken sizzling platter ($16.95), and rice ($3). The bill should have been about $39-40 with tax. They ended up giving us a hand written bill of $48, and when we asked for the itemized receipt it showed the chicken for $17.95, $2.25 for tea we did not order, and a 15% service charge. We told them we got the wrong receipt, but they said no it was right and they had to charge 15% service charge/tip even though we were only a party of 3. They also said they charged a dollar extra because they served us white meat chicken which is extra charge, but there was nothing on this on the menu nor did they tell us. They then took off the tea, making the bill about $44, and can see it scratched out on the originally hand written bill. Can also see there's only 2 items written in Chinese characters. The woman literally fought with us over the bill, saying service charge is required when I told her that charging service is only for parties over 6-8, and it needs to posted somewhere or at least on the menu. She continued arguing, saying she'll do us a favor at the end to charge us the right amount??? The bill she gave us at the end was about $37, but the fact that she came down to that proves she knew what she was doing was wrong. You shouldn't have to argue with them to be charged the right amount based on what you ordered. This was such an insulting visit. We left without leaving a tip, and we like supporting our local businesses but this one we cannot anymore. There are a lot more Chinese restaurants in the area that have better service and food, and don't try to cheat the customer like this. It's not worth coming here for this kind of treatment.

The is good but service slow. When you order take out it is never ready at the time they tell you over phone. Always 10 to 15 minutes later. Why they don't tell you a later pick up time is beyond me.

Tried this place with my son and we both left with smiles on our faces. The flavors were outstanding and the food was plentiful. Very clean and friendly. Had the waitress translate to the cook how happy we were with his food. The smile on that man's face was priceless.

I really don't like to give bad reviews but this time Peking Garden was totally disappointing. Expensive and low quality. I ordered the Sizzling Rice soup and it was actually embarrassing because I was bringing it to someone that was ill. Anyway, the soup had about 6 peas, a couple of slivers of carrot and some gnarly, scant pieces of chicken. The Chicken Salad was also displeasing with some shredded iceberg lettuce and chicken that was fried but mostly consisted of breading. I will not return but will go back to my favorite Chinese restaurant in San Lorenzo, Hunan Wok. I just have to remember that they are not open on Sunday which is why i gave Peking Garden a chance.

The restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. The food was not the best and the service was the worst. The server was unfriendly and not very helpful and apparently added her own tip. NOT!!! The bill came and the math was incorrect. I advised the lady in the front who quickly fixed the error. I am usually a great tipper but not today! Never again!

My husband and I stopped by to get a bite to eat and we enjoy the food we ordered at this restaurant. Will visit again soon.

Food is consistently good but nothing extraordinary. Orders are taken and food brought promptly. Waitresses are friendly. CHECK YOUR BILL AS THEY'LL ADD A DOLLAR OR 2.

My cousin had requested to go this place. I was a bit hesitant because of reviews. But decided to check it out. I really liked the food, everything was delicious and very flavorful. It wasn't busy at all so food came quick. I would go back again.

Solid, hot, fast, fresh-no frills Chinese food. Had the Peking dinner special for 2 which came with an appetizer, soup, white rice, and two entrees at an affordable price. Sweet and sour pork was crisp and the cashew chicken was tasty. Service was quick and easy. Lots of seating and no wait time. Next time I'm in a fix for Chinese food I'll be sure to come here.

This place is hit and miss. For my last visit, I was very disappointed. The Peking Duck (at $32 for a half!) was super crappy. The meat was really dry and the skin was soggy and not crisp at all. The waitress said there was a new chef and that she would tell the manager. I saw her tell the chef and he just laughed.

The food is a little pricey but it's worth it it is so delicious The wonton soup is the best. And it's so much food. I will go there again..

My family has been coming here for 20 years now. Growing up we would drive from Fremont every other Sunday just to eat here as my dad would not any other Chinese food. The waitresses are always fast to greet us and know our order by memory. I now live about 5 minutes away and have my family come over to eat take out from here.
