The pupusas here are sooo good! I'm addicted to them! I love this place I will say they can lag on getting you food at times , but they do get pretty busy. If you are grabbing these for lunch or are in a hurry highly recommend calling ahead for pick up! The restaurant is fairly small but it looks like they remodeled to make it more spacious and fit more ppl there.

Wrong order from beginning, ordered 8 Chicharrón and cheese and 8 cheese pupusas , got home order had 8 cheese and 8 bean and cheese pupusas , I contacted them I lady at front recognized her mistake agreed to have 8 Chicharrón and cheese pupusas for my son to pick up at 3:30 pm , well my son picked up order and they charged him, going back to El Girasol money was reimbursed, son got home and there are 8 cheese pupusas I called talked to lady owner, she insisted order son picked up was right because she personally cooked previous order , well I the one eating and there were not a single Chicharrón and cheese in the whole dem order , this place in my opinion was the best in Salvadorean food but having to deal with irresponsible people not taking responsibility of their mistake and ignoring how frustrating is to screw someone’s meal is unacceptable.

They have raised their price too much and reduced the size of the pupusas. I really liked this place because of the proximity and because the flavor is delicious. But comparing price and benefit I will have to look for a better place because for 6 pupusas I spent almost $30 dollars and the size is very small.

This is an all-time favorite. I've came here since I was a teenager and nothing has changed, the quality has stayed consistent. I love Salvadoran food, pupusas are something I crave all the time. Girasol has remained affordable, quick, and it's a family owned local business that thrives off their customer support! If you're ever nearby be sure to get your fix. The staff is super nice and there are plenty of seats to sit at. You can pick up your order, call or online, receive delivery services through DoorDash/UberEats. They're pretty fast and the food is always fresh. It's spacious plus they sell snacks & goodies from El Salvador :) WHAT I ORDERED: Beans, Cheese, Loroco pupusa - so filling & amazing 10/10 Cheese, Zucchini pupusa - stuffed with cheese, didn't have as much zucchini filling but still good. Not my fav 7/10 Platanos Fritos, Frijoles, Crema - Amazing. It smelled delicious when it first arrived too 10/10 Ensalad - refreshing, 1st time ordering & would get again 9/10

One of the goodones here in Hayward in Salvadoran food.I would recommend to add something else to the ranchero especial plate since it serve simple as customers eyes other then that everything it’s okay.
Raising $1.25 on each pupusa is shameless. Now each one costs $4.25. We had been shopping here for many years but they have definitely lost one more customer.

I paid 20 dollars for my soup ( sopa de res) that I waited for 30 minutes just to come home and find a hair in it. I know its not mine because I do not have blonde highlights.
