Finally got to order from here. Ended up getting beef combo soup, grilled pork over rice and some banh mi. The pho was very nice and broth not overly salted. The banh mi were pretty good. I would prefer more filling. Affordable and tasty, very easy parking.

I've been going here for ten plus years and they are just consistently the best pho and garlic noodles you can get anywhere! They'll remember your face and order and are always so kind. There's a homey feel to this place that you just can't beat. I hope they never leave the Bay Area because they can't be beat!

Spring Rolls is ok and bbq ribs ok. Good customer service and the inside is small and can only seat maybe 15 people. The price is pricey compared to other pho place I be going to.

1st time back since COVID and also because hours has change, they close a little earlier now. My opinion, still the best Pho in town!! Let me say this same great tasting Pho and service. I get the same thing every time I go and they still remember what I get all the time. They have added a few dishes, one is the garlic noodle which my daughter had with BBQ Beef, she said it was great. I didn't get to try because she ate it all. Their boba tea and other drinks were delish!!!

This our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. We love their pho, rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and sandwiches. Reasonably priced and great service. There aren't a lot of tables for dining but we've never have had to wait.

I was yelping for Vietnamese sandwiches/banh mi and came across R&D Cafe. I noticed that the Banh Mi were priced under $7 which was a great surprise where most places are $9+. I could have merely travelled to a Vietnamese restaurant in San Leandro but thought I'd check out R&D. I'm glad I did. I was warmly greeted and was asked what I wanted to order. I ordered four sandwiches (grilled chicken, grilled pork and 2x Pork Combo). One of the Pork Combo was for me. I ate it for lunch today and it was delicious. The staff were friendly. I'm definitely coming back for Banh Mi at R&D Cafe and I can't wait to try the Pho.

I've been looking for a decent pho spot in the East Bay and I think I've found the one. The broth is flavorful and their portion size is great. I was just barely able to finish their regular Pho Dac Biet Bo Vien. It comes with an assortment of meat, but I loved the big piece of tendon. I also had their nem nuong guon which had a balanced combination of ingredients.
Their sandwiches are most definitely would recommend. All the other food & pho are great

This place is my go-to for when I'm craving some Vietnamese food! My family loves this place and have been here multiple times because of the amazing food they serve. I usually get the bun bo hue and it's always a hit! The broth is flavorful and they really load it up with the different meats and toppings. My family really enjoys their garlic noodles here because it's super buttery and garlicky! Another plus about this place is that the portions are huge for a pretty decent price. They do have some limited hours so make sure to double check before. It's a pretty small restaurant so I would recommend ordering take out and the quality is still the same!

Since it very close to school’s depending on what time you go there can be a crowd. But the food is amazing and love the Vietnamese sandwiches and thai tea !! Family run very nice people!! Very fast service too !! Especially for to go orders. Go try this place out especially if you never had a Vietnamese sandwich.
