Ryan the bartender is amazing!
The only thing better than the vibes at high bar, is Hakeem our host. He was awesome
Our waiter, Hakeem, provided great service and look forward to dining with him again! Great food and unique drinks, too!
Great view and drinks
I'm pretty happy having this spot here in SLO. In LA, this spot would have a snooty pre-elevator wait list. Then, once you get to the roof, you'd have another wait.
But High Bar always seems to have a table for us. Thank you High Bar. You're my favorite bar that is high.

Nice layed back place where you can get a drink and play bocce ball with friends
Great views and beautiful cocktails that are not too sweet! It is windy so bring layers, and there can be a wait.

Great fun place to enjoy a different but cool ambiance in the Central Coast outdoors, on the rooftop of the new San Luis Hotel. Service was attentive and the cocktails were interesting and tasty. Wish there was a better selection of draft beers. I didn't try the food but it is from the Ox and Anchor restaurant which I know is fantastic.

The location and setting are wonderful, however service was bad it makes the location not worth the trip. We were told upon entering that it is table service. Although after waiting, no one came to our table, so we had to go to the bar to order drinks. Once the drinks were delivered to our table we ordered an appetizer and pizza. We were never checked on again and had to go ask for a refill of water. We had to go to the bar to pay our tab since there was no service and were told we could not pay cash since there was not enough change in their drawer to give $20 back. Then in order to pay with a card, we had to wait for them to get the passcode to get back into the register. I hope this was an off night. Service is so bad for such a nice location.

We went for Sichuan night. The food was great and the dumplings were my favorite. We even met the chef. However, the service was terrible. We were never brought water that we asked for and the wait staff didn't check on us once throughout our dinner.

Drinks are meh. Food is mediocre. But great vibes. Maybe get wine instead of cocktails.

My son and I were doing a Highway 1 road trip from San Fran to San Diego and we picked San Luis Obispo as a place to stop over for a night. The hotel was nice and the staff was beyond friendly, but the room was pretty dirty ( particularly the bathroom) and there is really no sound proofing in the rooms. You can hear all the doors of other rooms opening and closing and we heard the footsteps of people upstairs from us until late in the night. I would not normally make a big deal out of it because its possible that the housekeeping just messed up once and we were unlucky, but what does bother me is that we spent almost 600 dollars for that room for 1 night and I feel like for that price things should be better managed. Besides that the room was big and modern and there was a fridge and safe and a large bathroom. The bed was not particularly comfortable (quite hard) .
