This place has amazing sandwiches but they are quite expensive. However you do get a decent portion size and I would eat here again for sure.My biggest disappointment was with the service. I bought a sandwich not realizing they had a deal that if you buy a T-shirt, you get your sandwich for $5. I really wanted to get a T-shirt for my partner who grew up in SLO and has very fond memories of high st deli but now lives abroad- so when I saw the sign outside I went back in to see if they would honour the deal as I had just placed the order for the sandwich a few minutes ago (but hadn’t received it yet). They said no and then disregarded me, which is really poor service to me and a big disappointment overall.

Just happened to be staying in an AirB&B and found this deli. I came back two days in a row! It’s good ya’ll! Sandwiches are huge and plenty of options to choose from to mix it up.Vegetarian options: There are veggie items on the menu or you can build your own. But the sandwiches are made in close contact with other meat/dairy products if that is a concern.

Solid sandwiches with super fresh ingredients! If you are looking for a quality sandwich, this is the place in SLO. The portions are huge, the staff are beyond kind, and their customer service is top notch. I only wish they had a little bit more seating and the sandwiches didn't so long to make, but that is what you get when they are the most popular sandwich spot in town.Vegetarian options: N/A

The perfect sandwich. You know you're getting good food the second you walk into this place.. it just has that vibe. Overall, a good experience, but they did screw up my wife's salad order, so wasn't too happy about that. We had already been waiting 20 minutes for the order, and it was getting busier and busier, so she just begrudgingly accepted it.

Ordered the dutch punch sandwich, a root beer, and a side of macaroni salad. The food took about 20 minutes to come out.The sandwich was great, not as small as I thought it would be.The side was well made and tasty. The soda was also pretty good.If ever you're craving well made sandos, try this place out.

Parking: No parking lot but there is free street parking in front of restaurant and surrounding streets. We got lucky to find spot across street, but since this was my first visit, can not say with certainty that this occurs each visit!

This place lived up to the hype! I got the Dutch Punch and loved it. The dutch crunch bread added the sweet, bacon added the savory, avocado added the creamy, and the spicy mayo brought a slight heat. Such a unique combination that totally works! Ordering ahead saved me the wait and my orderly was perfectly made. Highly recommend for those in search of fresh, local sandos!

First time I visited it and ordered a roast beef in a wheat roll sandwich...just awesome!. Dining in is quite difficult...recommend take outs. Prices are reasonable....great service. Do not miss it while in San Luis ObispoParking: Parking is not an attractive feature...but not very difficult to find.

I love this sandwich shop! It’s definitely worth the wait. For me, the time waiting for my Sando (15 mins) seemed to go fast as the employees are super friendly. I love the decor … definitely coastal and retro. It was a toss up between the Italian and pastrami. At the end of the day, I went for the Italian. The sandwiches are huge! Next time I will try the pastrami. It’s awesome that the have daily specials as well as the 420 special where the prices are reduced. I ended up buying a T-shirt as I will be back.I didn’t get to try the pickle as it was forgotten on my order. But I left a voicemail and they called me right away to resolve it! Awesome service and amazing sandwiches.
