Libertine Brewing Company

Came for the line dancing classes. It is hard to keep up as someone who is trying it for the first time, but it still so much fun just to try. Watching folks line dancing is jaw dropping. Atmosphere is great. It got rly full on this Wednesday but still recommend! $5 for 21+ and $10 for +18.

We saw Cydeways there and it was our first time. The venue was nice and we had a great time! We didn't order food.

The country swing Sundays at 4:30 was so fun!

Stopped by during Cal Poly SLO open house and I loved their tacos but their cocktails were not good. If the bartender doesn’t know how to make a drink (mai tai) they should just say so instead of trying. The band playing was okay but the crowd seemed to really like them.

First and only time going to Libertine. My friends and I went for an event and any time we tried to order, we were passed up or ignored. Meanwhile, the cal poly students at our shared table got everything they asked for. Any time I tried to order something I would be asked to wait or straight up ignored. As soon as I finished the water I served myself a waiter came and took my water cup. The cal poly kids had a water pitcher with cups brought to them. It was also pointed out that all the latinos were seated “in the back” from where the stage was. I am part latino and two of my friends were latino and there were a couple other non white people and we were all in the last row. My friends and I got there when the place was still fairly empty. They were also serving alcohol without ID-ing anyone that ordered. First and last time going.

Tons of beers. But only stayed for one. I must have just landed on the wrong night as the club scene took over, not my cup of tea for a brewery. I’ll have to go back when it is not plastic cup, DJ, and youngster night! All that said, the beer I had was excellent and the door man was great!

Great place to stop and grab a drink if you're in the SLO area. They have a large selection of beers to choose from. Staff were friendly.

I was bummed to find that the quality of Libertine has gone down over the years. We used to be members of the bottle club several years ago and really enjoyed their sour ales. We came in for dinner last night while stopping through town on a road trip for a flight of sour beers and dinner, and sadly the beer and food were really not good. The beer was not served cold enough and was flat, and they lacked the depth of flavors I remember from the past. I’m not sure if it was the beer itself or issues with the kegs, but I only decided to finish one of the 4 tasters because it was really that mediocre. The food was equally disappointing. My smash burger didn’t have much flavor and the sweet potato fries were unsalted. It seems like they are more focused on being a music venue and bar these days, and I can see it being a good spot to come for drinks (from their guest tap list) and live music if you live in town. I personally won’t be back.
