I had a medium hot caramel sutra and a navy special. The drink was great; it made me wish I had gotten a larger size. I never had a bagel with lox before, so I didn't know what to expect. The capers in it were a bit too salty for me. But overall, good. Service was good. I would come back here next time I'm in town and need coffee.

I've been here quite a few times and have to say I'm not very impressed. My last visit a few days ago was particularly unsatisfactory. I ordered a latte and it came back with virtually no milk froth and virtually no espresso taste (tasted more like a drip coffee). So I asked for a redo -- and the second one came back almost as bland and as unfrothy as the first. I hadn't seen those baristas before so they may be new (they do have quite a bit of turnover there) but still surely they should have been trained in how to make at least a halfway decent latte. With Lucy's due to open a store soon in the nearby San Luis Ranch development, these guys need to really up their game.

I regularly drop by the nautical bean for a cup of delicious coffee. They have a self serve station if you are on the go and don't have time to order or if you only want coffee. The wait time is reasonable And it is a very relaxing place to enjoy breakfast and coffee or tea if you prefer that. They showcase pastries from different areas in San Luis Obispo. The menu is easy to follow when ordering drinks this place has indoor and outdoor seating.
Super friendly staff. Delicious food. I highly recommend the California bagel. And the lovely little patio where you can enjoy everything. I will be back.

Nautical Bean is a local coffee shop that has a extensive menu for drinks and breakfast items. They have three locations across SLO now with this being the original locationThey are known for being a hip coffee shop with drinks featuring their drip coffee that you can choose variations from.My favorite is usually the black and white which is a mocha coffee with both black and white chocolate in it.You also can just get the drip coffee and do you own drinks.The atmosphere is very friendly and lots of table space for people to do work or students to study. (Plugs are available at the seats near the walls)Parking is plenty as its in the same plaza as CVS, grocery outlet, and 99c only stores
