Love this place, fantastic atmosphere and amazing coffee. The staff is fun. The Croissan'wich is perfect. Please, please, please, get some ceramic coffee mugs so we don’t have to use so many single use paper cups. Coffee tastes so much better in a mug.

This place makes some awesome coffee! This was the first time I’ve been and the fun posters and all wood accents make the place so homey. When I ordered I got someone who was obviously training, but the person who was training him was doing a great job, and the guy getting trained was doing an amazing job! I highly recommend if you’re in the area!

If it wasn’t for all the dam students, ordering one cup of coffee (or none) and just sitting there on their laptops for hours, hogging the space and tables so people that want to dine in and actually eat (spend money) I would give this place 5 stars

When I first came to town, the kind staff at Nautical Bean were the first to really make me feel at home and welcome. I mean, not that other people in SLO didn’t! But it was an early, formative experience that shaped the way I would feel about this terrific community.
Oh, and also, the best coffee ever.

Someone forgot to set the hours for new years day. Said "Open" all morning while remaining quite closed. Doing my laundry next door and had the privilege of watching a hundred disappointed customers drive by or even walk up to the door. Hilarious!

Is it now customary for staff to mock people's names when calling out an order and then giggle with fellow co-workers? This was surprising. Not normal for this establishment.

Came in and ordered a breakfast burrito on 8/10/24 not a particularly busy morning at all. 37 minutes later went up and asked if the food was close to being done. They had no idea that we had ordered and paid for food. Ticket wasn’t sent to the kitchen. No apologies or explanations just told to wait and that they’d get it started and bring it to us. Brought it over 15 minutes later, again no apologies. Food was okay but not a 45 minute wait okay. Staff was rude and seemed inconvenienced that we had ordered food AND coffees.
