I am a pizza lover and make my own pizza. I’ve been in Italy with my Italian family and have tasted some of the best pizza. Mike, the owner of Palo Mesa Pizza, knows pizza! Perfect crust and not too crazy American style overdose of toppings. He even shared pizza secretes to keep me enthused. His dough to go is better than anywhere else in SLO.

Very friendly! Extremely generous with the toppings, the crust was soft but crisp on the outside! We’re from out of town but will definitely come again when back in the area!

My wife and I live about a month from this location and had never had the opportunity to order from it, but were always curious.

We ordered a medium pizza and cheese bread for pick up to-go from Palo Mesa and were both pleasantly surprised. The turnaround time was fast, the staff was friendly, and both the pizza/cheese bread were tasty. We see this is a relatively budget conscious ($30 total for 2 people) and easy go-to pizza spot going forward that offers a great family style pizza. The pizza dough was slightly chewy with a crunch and made the pizza.

Their ranch and palo mesa marinara sauce were super tasty as well. Looking forward to finding spots to patronize this location again with its proximity to our house. Great work PM team! I see how you've been able to establish 5+ locations here in SLO county.

These guys have absolutely no clue about how to make pizza. All dough and barely any cheese, the toppings are pooled up in the middle of the pizza and dried out. I will never order pizza from this place again. I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away.

Would be one of my fave pizzas IF they actually cooked your pizza to order. REPEATEDLY I have ordered well done and received not-even-cooked all the way. Crust still gloopy dough. Never going back even though they're very close by. Been disappointed for the last time.

It is hard to find an affordable lunch time meal that tastes good and uses high quality ingredients, but Palo Mesa Pizza delivers. Their lunch time two topping pizza is amazing, filling, under $10, and the staff is great. I actually had a minor mishap with my order the other day and the staff offered to make things right and did it quickly.

If you work close by, and didn't pack a lunch, give this place a try!

They have a huge sign on the wall, saying that they are the number five pizza in the world! And they’re also number one in the southwest region. We laughed about that until they brought the pizza and it was fantastic! I have eaten pizza all over the world and I think the only place that came close to. This was a pizza restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.
