Awesome and cheap good quality place. They have a half off menu with tons of good rolls, now I can get 2 rolls for the price of 1!

Amazing prices and excellent rolls. Outside of the hustle and bustle of old town but well worth the drive

It would be nice if they would change their opening time from 4:30AM to 4:30PM, so that people didn't have to drive there to find out they are closed...

Hadn't been in here for a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised. I always liked them for their cheap lunch boxs before, but previously was underwhelmed with their dinner. We stopped in for dinner with our daughter. She was excited about the sushi and the seaweed salad, but most importantly really enjoyed the fish tank. I ordered off of the 1/2 price rolls menu since it used to be a decent deal even though the rolls were smaller... well boy was I wrong this time. My first roll was the paradise roll and it was HUGE. It was basically a sushi roll with a sushi salad on the side. The staff was friendly, the food was really good and fresh and the value is great!

Very fresh fish and great prices! The staff is friendly and professional, and the food is consistently good.
From Hongo and previous name until after moving to the new location with the centers remodeling, to multiple iterations of management, the restaurant has been ok. Except for the strange period of pastel colored nori for sushi, that is. Overall, the sashimi has been good over the years. Kinda miss the teppan. The servers and chefs remain great, kinda miss how they used to greet loudly and say goodbye.
Update:
card was charged the lower price despite the printed slip showing the higher price. So what I wrote originally ended up NOT being the case.
Initial review:
Did order online. Rolls were advertised at 10.50 and 10.99. When we picked up, the prices on the bill were 18.99 and 19.99. So, a 40$ order went to 60 upon pickup.
Went in, looks like they remodeled, a lot brighter than before. The special rolls and lunch bento were super tasty! takoyaki was disappointing, I expected more garnish like bonito flakes or mayo. The solo waiter took their time getting to our table, more time before taking our order... I think we spent an extra hour here just waiting! But the food was worth it in the end 😋

After 2 almost 2 hours we still did not have our food. People came in long after us and left before we even got miso soup. Unbelievably bad experience.

Among the dishes on the menu, there was a lot of fish that wasn't available, so I had to change my order several times.
