I recently visited the restaurant and had a wonderful experience very warm, attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious offering authentic Indian homestyle flavors at very affordable prices if you’re looking for a place with great customer service and comforting Indian cuisine this spot is definitely worth checking out!

We have been visiting this establishment regularly since moving to the Central Coast, initially drawn by its promising menu and convenient location. Unfortunately, over the years, we’ve noticed a steady decline in both the quality and portion size of the food. What’s even more disappointing is the deteriorating customer service. On multiple occasions, we experienced unwelcoming and dismissive behavior from the staff. Most concerning was the apparent preferential treatment shown to certain customers while our family was treated with noticeable disregard — all in plain view. It’s disheartening to see a once-enjoyable place lose its charm due to inconsistent standards and poor hospitality.

This is the best food in slo. Might be a little on the expensive side for us students but every now and then it's worth it. I always get the lamb tikka masala and some mango lassi, and they're awesome. The guys working there are super nice too. Went with 3 mates and they gave us 2 sides of naan on the house. I'm greek so it's pretty hard to find food I like in slo, but these guys are No1 with San Luis taqueria being second. Can't recommend Taj palace highly enough.

Love the dedicated vegan portion of the menu. And clearly labeled vegan items in other parts of the menu (i.e. bread & rice options). Have loved this place pre-vegan and so glad we can still enjoy it as vegans. Highly recommend the aloo gobi dish, and the pratha bread was very yummy, great naan replacement since their naan is definitely not vegan.

I was very disappointed with the food. The chicken tasted so weird and was not fresh. Also the place is very dirty and not clean. Even the bathroom looked unmaintained.
