I have been coming here for the last 4 years. The people are so sweet, love them all from the bottom of my heart. They treat me so well, like a family member. I would recommend, their breakfast burritos are really really good.
This was a friendly place to sit and have a cup of coffee and catch up on the days news. Plenty of seats with good internet and decent bagel sandwiches. If you are staying at any of the hotels on the north section of Monterey then I'd definitely make a point to stop here in the morning or early afternoon.

Essential college town type spot. Wonderful local folks who happily give insider directions and help me avoid traffic. Loved my latte and my panini. Why would anyone ever go to a Starbucks when community gems like this are available?
