As a foodie and former Midwest pizza lover, I sadly haven’t found a lot of amazing pizza in San Diego. However, Cal-Italia is SO good. The sauce and crust are perfect. (We got “The New Way” and added hot honey.) Plus the guys were friendly and the pizza was ready in under ten minutes. Can’t wait to have this pizza again!

Chase truly has perfected "the pizza". He actually studied in Italy to learn his craft. I recently attended an event he was catering and it was amazing. Tons of people waiting in line while he was cranking out pizza out of his wood stove. What makes his pizza so special is the dough. Wow, it is GOOD!Wish he had a brick and mortar location, but you can find him via his website.

Review is for food only. They were extremely busy out in Lost Abbey in San Elijo and was a 2 hour wait for pizza. Some pretty upset customers out there but it's not like the neighborhood is that big just order go home n come back

Cal-Italia is in our neighborhood (San Elijo Hills) weekly and we LOVE their pizza. The crust is flavorful and the perfect amount of chewy and OMG, the cupped pepperoni! We cannot get enough of it and definitely recommend it to anyone that loves a great, wood-fired pizza!

Ran across this amazingly fresh made pizza place today. Even the dough is fresh made like they do in Italy. Definitely be back to try the many styles they make.

Really Really good Pizza. We got the cheese and the #4 (Jalapeno, pepperoni and ricotta). Great tasting crust and nice and thin. Delicious. Will definitely be back.

We stopped in at Double Peak Brewing last night for a beer. We then met Chase and his brother who sell authentic thin crust wood-fired italian pizza. We took one home and really enjoyed it. I suggested they find a way as a mobile pizza oven to let us and others know when they are in the local area. We look forward to getting pizza from them soon. Great job and glad to support an up and coming local business.
