The food is pretty authentic and the price is okay. I guess I'm still in shock from inflation. My wife grew up in the 626 and she's vietnamese and agrees that the flavor here is good, especially considering how much farther you'd have to drive to get not-much-more authentic stuff.

Been coming for over 5 years even though I now live 1 hour away. It's inconsistent at best. Did they change owners ? IDK. They charged me .95 to add jalapeños on a sandwich. Every other shop includes it. The palce is dusty , bathrooms need to be cleaned better ,they need to train their servers and teach them how to smile , they are just order takers at this point. All I see is people sitting in booths while customers are trying to get their attention. I understand running a business is hard but cleanliness should be number one. I saw the server taste the drink he was making ,wtf.

The pho tastes so good! Don't forget to try their currys and rice dishes too! This is a restaurant to not shy away from trying something new every time. They just made updates to their facility and it looks great! It's a spacious place great for families and dates! The decor is also beautiful. They updated their menu as well! Their soju drinks were a beautiful surprise!! The staff is always so friendly and nice. I love it here!

First time here and David was amazing. Super attentive and accommodating. He also makes great drinks! The food was fantastic. Some of the best pho I’ve had. Definitely top 3 pho in my book. Will be coming back.

I go to Chef Pho every time I'm in the area. My most favorites that I order every time are beef stew pho & chicken curry pho. Their recipes are unique as I never have beef stew or chicken pho the way they make it. And they use good beef perfect for stew. I've been trying to figure out what spices they use in their stew & curry as I like it so much and sometimes craving for it but not in the area. I wish I could find something similar in the bay area but never come across any other pho places that make it the way they do. Highly recommended!

Restaurant located across from CSUSM. Easy parking and big menu to select from. Can't go wrong with any of the items. Great service from the staff. They are attentive and helpful. The food was right on with flavor and portion. Lots of table and seating overall good experience.

I came in for dinner with my mom. We had the pork Banh Mi, spring rolls, Thai tea & Pho with vegetables and tofu. Everything was delicious! The service was great, everyone was friendly. I'll definitely be back.

Chef's Pho & Grill is the bee's knees. It is all that and a bag of chips. Simply put it is a restaurant that makes outstanding Vietnamese cuisine, provides excellent customer service, is very clean and even has plenty of parking. Our server Linh got us a comfortable booth, took our order and brought it to us in record time. We both ordered the Pho Ga and split an order of the shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were very fresh and the peanut sauce complimented the rolls perfectly. The Pho Ga was some of the best we have ever eaten. The broth had a wonderful chicken flavor, plenty of noodles and pieces of chicken accompanied by a farmer's market of fresh vegetables. Damn near perfect soup. Price for pho is $14.25 a bowl and the spring rolls were just $6.95 for 2. A side-note to this visit: we were a bit distracted by a personal matter and left our packaged leftovers. We got a bit of the ways down the road and then went back to pick it up. To our surprise the nice server had it next to her and handed to my wife when she came in. That is going out of your way to please a new customer. Our first visit to Chef's Pho & Grill was an easy 5 stars. We will for sure come back to enjoy another bowl of their world-class Pho!

The sandwich I ordered the bread was not fresh and the meat and noodles in the pho was not good. They did not have a good selection of pho .we eat at a lot of Vietnam restaurants and this one was the worst *

Pho restaurant nearby CSU San Marcos conveniently located near the freeway. An average Pho noodle for an above average price (price has gone up). Service is decent, seems like their to-go orders are taking away more time and service from dinning in customers. One suggestion would be raise the price for to-go orders or lower price for the dinning in customers to encourage more dinners. Besides, hot dishes are better served on the spot anyway. Middle of the road dinning experience, there are better Pho places even in the North County.2.8/5 ⭐️

Tried this today for the first time for lunch today. I ordered chicken vermicelli, with extra egg rolls to go (they didn't give me my extra egg rolls) Service- I received a text when my order was ready. It was pretty accurate from the time he gave me over the phone for pick up. When I went inside to pick up order. The server seemed real occupied with a portable payment machine. Wasn't really friendly , or didn't greet and let me know he'll be with me. Professionalism/ customer service was mediocre. Food- It was good.. nothing spectacular. I paid for an extra side of egg rolls and didn't receive them, which was disappointing.
