Devil dogs has some of the best brisket and spicy mac and cheese I have tasted. Friendly staff and great food, will always keep coming back!

I went to the truck 2 times on Camp Pendleton both times disappointed. The meat is alright I wouldn't complain also would not hype or say anything good about it. But if you do find yourself coming here BYOB (bring your own BBQ sauce) because there spicy sauce not even spicy like not even a little spicy where you are like "at least they tried" and it's basically ketchup not BBQ sauce. I also got Mac n cheese with my order because how can you not with BBQ. When I ordered there was not a line or many other customers around but somehow I got cold Mac n cheese which also by the way the meat wasn't very hot either so now as I am writing this I'm wondering what took so long to scoop my food and keep in mind there was not a big line or anything . The flavor of the spicy not spicy Mac n cheese was "Ight" nothing special which pretty much sums both of my experiences with this place. Maybe this is just the food truck on Pendleton not sure but it was 100% not worth the money. Maybe there is an issue with keeping the pre prepared food warm idk but if my food was at least warm I would've gave another star. Also my little tray was covered with cheese somehow so my car seat got a little dirty.

Awesome! They came to my apartment complex equipped with smiles, kindness, and good food.I hope it was worth their while to come by.The kids under ten were super excited as they've all been deprived of summer activities etc due to Governor Newsom"s dictatorship.I recommend the spicy Mac and cheese!

I heard about these guys through an event that was happening at a brewery. I'm a Marine Corps veteran and wanted to support a Marine owned business. I was excited because I love BBQ. I was really excited when I saw the menu and saw that they had brisket, not a lot places have brisket. I am from Texas and we love our brisket. I ordered my food and hung around to wait for it because the guy I ordered ordered it from told me to hang out because it would be right out in a couple of minutes. There were several people that ordered after me that got their food. Even my friend made a comment about what happened to my order because they ordered after me. After all the orders were out the young lady in the truck asked I was waiting for anything else, I told her I never got my food. They finally made my food and gave it to me.I ordered the brisket sandwich and coleslaw. I added some BBQ sauce to it. When I sat down to eat my sandwich was really really dry. Not what I expected from someone who says they specialize in BBQ smoked meats. Everyone at my table said my sandwich looked dry. This was not what I expected from a BBQ truck. The overall experience was not worth it for me, very underwhelming.

I recommend the grilled sandwiches. I had the grilled cheese pulled pork and loved it. The sides could use some help. They severely lacked flavor and any seasoning.

These guys were at Dogleg Brewing for an event and we decided to check them out. This was not worth the money we paid. We shared the brisket sandwich and a side of the spicy mac and cheese. The sandwich was underwhelming. Usually at BBQ places they load up on the meat, not this place. If I'm going to pay $14 for a sandwich alone it should be worth it. The taste we decent, but the BBQ sauces were nothing special at all. The spicy mac and cheese was not spicy and it was cold. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for the price you pay. The cleanliness was also questionable as their utensils looked unclean.

OMG so good! I came across them at a Yelp Elite event in Vista at Dogleg Brewing! I picked up a cheeseburger and whoaaaa it was gone so fast but it was so so so goooood. I want another but I musn't.... I wonder what everything else tastes like. I may never know. If you find them. Try them. That is all. End communication.

Awesome food even on short notice. Truck was on time n food was amazing. Love helping veteran owned businesses. Customer service was excellent!! Good job Marine!!

I work as an Administrative Assistant for a local non-profit in the Venice community, and used Devil Dogs BBQ Catering Truck for an event. They donated food for our event and were very flexible when it came to ordering. The food was SO GOOD! Our guests loved what we ordered from the rice, to the rolls everything was a HIT!!Thanks Devil Dogs BBQ Catering Truck we will definitely be ordering from you again! :)
