Picked up BBQ here today. Got some turkey, chicken, and pulled pork. Haven't tried the pork yet. But the poultry was delicious and moist. Poultry is very difficult to get right on a pitt. And they did it right. I am UTTERLY AMAZED at the smoke profile that was achieved. They use a pellet smoker there and getting a rich smoke profile is also difficult with that. They got it right across the board.

When I don't feel like doing it myself, this is where I am going to get it.

Food Was Great! Huge improvement with the new Management.
Everything was Delish! The food was just like (maybe better) than the old Dickey's in Dallas. We shared a brisket sandwich and 3-meat platter. They even have new $12 items to attract college students. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but everything is new since last Fall. The manager was super friendly and told us how the new owner is committed to the quality that Dickey's customers expect. We will definitely be back!

What a nice find out here in San Marcos!! The food, service, decor, and even the tunes were good!
I had the pulled pork slider, which was overflowing with delicious smoked meat. It came with a side, so I got the creamy cole slaw, and that was made just the way I like it. I want to try their brisket next time!

Was hoping to have a better experience. My husband, 2 children and I went in to try this place under the new management and unfortunately after 45mins and seeing the person in line after us get his food, we asked about our to go order. Turns out they misplaced our ticket and never made it. Only two people ahead of us had been served in the 45mins we were there. Not a good ticket management system. Very disappointed.
To top it off, when we finally got home, there was no bbq sauce on the sandwiches or in the bag and one of they gave us the wrong sandwich.

I ordered the food through Grubhub. The delivered bag was missing my entire meat box! Only the side dish was in the bag.
They are the BBQ restaurant, yet they missed the main BBQ meat! Never ordering from them again.

Delicious food! Better than most bbq restaurants in north county. New manager is very accommodating and personable. I will continue to bring my family here for barbecue.

Me and my coworkers placed pick up orders for 12:00 at the one in San Marcos. I went to go pick up our orders. There was only one person working there and it took an hour to get all of our orders. Our whole lunch was wasted. I am so very upset. My coworkers were even more upset. This by far is the worse service I have ever seen. Will never order from here again

New owner for last 2 months. Doing a great job and we had a great experience even with a small hiccup in our order. Staff was proactive to resolve and owner was very involved with customers and service. Serving size was generous and the Brisket and ribs were very tasty and great fries. We will be back soon. Ordered 2 brisket chili fries, very small portion for $12 and little dicernible meat. On top of that, they presumably added a 20% tip. No where is it posted that a tip is added automatically. A total waste of $30. Very disappointed.

I took my husband here after having oral surgery nearby. Nash took excellent care of us, recommending sides that are easy to chew as well as offering to cut up the pulled pork extra fine. Great customer service!

App crashed twice when trying to enter payment. Online web browser order went through and charged but restaurant didn't receive it. Manager offered to make the food but they were "out" of ribs and the order was more than just a few items so I decided to try to get a refund as I figured it would be might be too much a hassle and I really wanted to get home. Manager couldn't guide me to get a refund on the email or app, somehow made a way for me to get the ribs still, so I decide to just try to get the food.

40 min after I was supposed to have received my order, I finally get it. But they were out of another meat and without asking they just gave me more of the meats they had that I ordered. Manager gave me a free sandwich card.

Come home to find he had forgotten two of my sides, gave me chopped instead of sliced brisket, some of the meats were really salty but still edible, and the fried okra was too salty to eat more than a few.

I come back the next week to get my missing sides and to use the free sandwich card. The manager asked where I had gotten the card and he sounded like he seemed suspicious. I told him I got it from him. He then seemed to remember. I come home to find that sandwich had no onions or pickles as shown on the card and was never asked if I wanted any.

I went and ordered the two meat meal, plus an additional side, and they forgot one of my sides! Super disappointing paying $34 and missing part of the meal.
