Dlightful Chocolat was truly a dream to work with! From start to finish, she was kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. We reached out fairly last-minute for a tasting, and she got us in without hesitation—which we were so grateful for! Every single cake flavor she offered was absolutely dlightful (pun intended!)—each one was unique and delicious, and it was hard to even pick a favorite.
She answered every question we had with warmth and patience, and her follow-up was outstanding. About a week or two before the wedding, she called and emailed to confirm all the details of our order and make sure everything was just right. She even took my vision of a wildflower-themed cake and brought it to life beautifully—it was better than I imagined!
We’re so thankful we chose her. If you’re looking for a baker who creates both gorgeous and delicious cakes while being an absolute joy to work with, you will not be disappointed. Highly, highly recommend!
Nice staff and beautiful displays! Had chocolate mousse, very tasty but it's not thick. Flavor was great though. My friend had the brownie warmed up. Definitely good when warm. Had the cake pops but the inside is not cake like. Tastes like white cake but consistency was was more like a thick cookie batter.
Amazing chocolates - love the combinations of the truffles and the superior quality!
I wish I had taken photos, but sadly, it was so delicious that I gobbled everything up before I could take a picture! :-) I tried three different kinds of truffles, and they were absolutely divine! Mango jalapeno was amazing and not too spicy.
The highlight was the hot chocolate, which was a deep, rich, dark Belgian chocolate, made the old-fashioned way in copper pots and absolutely heavenly!
The atmosphere is lovely and quaint and just has such a sweet spirit there, and the lady who helped us was so kind!
What a hidden gem!
So so good. Coconut chocolates
D’liteful Chocolate is a hidden gem located in the Lakes of San Marcos. Our family has enjoyed their treats for years. I send my daughter to every kid camp and holiday camp offered, and it’s always been a wonderful experience.
The macaroons, crème brûlée, chocolate eclairs, and the most delicious truffles outside of France are served by friendly staff.

The best all around! Everyone here is so kind and accommodating. I had a double (back to back) birthday party for chocolate making, tea and sandwiches for my 10 year old daughter. I think we had a total of 28 little girls! They pulled it off beautifully and they did everything! They made it easy for me to greet and mingle with the parents and not have to worry about the details. All the girls were so excited and happy to be making and eating chocolate. The owner was really good at explaining and educating about the cocoa bean and entire chocolate making process. She really took the time to make everyone feel special. Also, I can’t forget to mention the beautiful shop filled with a gorgeous display of chocolate and macaroons among other delicious things. A huge thank you to the owner and all the staff that made her day extra special. You are all the best!

I love the chocolates and desserts from this store. They are always beautiful and delicious.. but this weekend, my friends and I were fortunate enough to take the Level 1 chocolate class for my bridal celebration and had such a wonderful experience and left with a box of delicious chocolates. The team there clearly loves their craft and it comes through as they help us learn about how chocolate is grown/processed, making ganache, sealing chocolates and piping. We had such a fun time and I would highly recommend!!!

My friend and I took the macaron class, and it was incredible. I loved how Chef D really cared about us learning and having a successful outcome. I will be looking forward to attending more classes in the future.
Highly recommend her classes and her pastries.

We did a private chocolate making class here and had a blast. Learned about the science of chocolate and got to create some delicious chocolates and take home a bunch too. Thank you Whitney and crew!

D'liteful Chocolat has the absolute best cakes and chocolates. Im not saying it lightly, but I'm gluten intolerant and today I bought a Chocolate Ganache Cheesecake that was absolutely fantastic. The cake was not overly sweet, the crust was so good, that alone was worth it. This cheesecake wasn't anything I had before and no-one would ever guess that it was gluten free. I'm absolutely going back for any of there other delicious offerings. One more thing, the staff was very helpful and polite. I really llke the atmosphere of that place. If you haven't been there, go and get some of their truffles as well.

My friend and I decided to take a chocolate class while visiting the area on holiday. Conveniently located near the resort we were staying at. Literally a two-minute walk. The class was super fun and we made lots of treats to take back with us, along with a few of their delicious truffles from the shop. We came back again before leaving for dessert and had a hard time choosing from all the beautiful options. I went with the opera cake that was gluten-free and AMAZING! Charming shop with super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and conveniently located. Highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.
Recently went to this chocolatier in North SD County for a ladies' day out. Cute little storefront and I loved the purple color scheme; we oohed and aahed over the desserts in the display case: tasty-looking pastry though the truffles were tiny. I wish we had just called off the tea and bought some desserts because it was two thumbs way down. The scones were dry, the rest of the offerings lackluster, and the servings far from generous, especially compared with afternoon tea in other spots in SD alone--like Shakespeare on India Street and Coral Tree Tea House in Old Town. The tea is prepackaged sachets and not loose-leaf which I'd expect at the price point, nor did the server replenish our beverages.
Beautiful AND delicious cake for my father's 90th. Dayleen listened to my ideas and created something extraordinary. It not only looked incredible but quality ingredients were used so everyone was asking for seconds.* FYI - I made the cake base seen in two photos
