Cutest little chocolate shop with tasty delights. Rocky road mounds are delicious as well as the peanut butter cup. Macarons were tastfully and artfully created. Super cute find. If you are visiting the lake house resort across the street you definitely need to stop by!!

D'liteful Chocolat has the absolute best cakes and chocolates. Im not saying it lightly, but I'm gluten intolerant and today I bought a Chocolate Ganache Cheesecake that was absolutely fantastic. The cake was not overly sweet, the crust was so good, that alone was worth it. This cheesecake wasn't anything I had before and no-one would ever guess that it was gluten free. I'm absolutely going back for any of there other delicious offerings. One more thing, the staff was very helpful and polite. I really llke the atmosphere of that place. If you haven't been there, go and get some of their truffles as well.

My friend and I decided to take a chocolate class while visiting the area on holiday. Conveniently located near the resort we were staying at. Literally a two-minute walk. The class was super fun and we made lots of treats to take back with us, along with a few of their delicious truffles from the shop. We came back again before leaving for dessert and had a hard time choosing from all the beautiful options. I went with the opera cake that was gluten-free and AMAZING! Charming shop with super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and conveniently located. Highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.

Our Girl Scout troop attended one of their classes and walked away raving about not only the chocolate, but the experience and how fun the owner made everything for them. Our girls were 7-10yo and had the absolute best time. Highly recommend!

My family and I have had the pleasure of booking two different tea parties at this super lovely shop when we were visiting in the area. The Tea and pastries were so delicious, the service was so friendly and attentive to our needs, our tea pots were always kept hot, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Ive have been to a proper tea in London, and this was as nice or better The Chef Dayleen was very gracious and delightful. P.S. you must try, their Dark chocolate caramel. It was and is my favorite. Recently went to this chocolatier in North SD County for a ladies' day out. Cute little storefront and I loved the purple color scheme; we oohed and aahed over the desserts in the display case: tasty-looking pastry though the truffles were tiny. I wish we had just called off the tea and bought some desserts because it was two thumbs way down. The scones were dry, the rest of the offerings lackluster, and the servings far from generous, especially compared with afternoon tea in other spots in SD alone--like Shakespeare on India Street and Coral Tree Tea House in Old Town. The tea is prepackaged sachets and not loose-leaf which I'd expect at the price point, nor did the server replenish our beverages.

Cute little shop tucked away in a tiny shopping area on Bonita Dr. They could not find our reservation made a couple of months ago, but advised they could accommodate us. The large group they mentioned having was a group of teen boys enjoying baking in a separate area and celebrating the birthday of one of them. Two small indoor tables and the remainder outside. We were first brought a mostly tasteless scone, that was too dry to swallow. Then came the tiered tray, with 3 tiny sandwiches apiece on super soft supermarket bulk bread containing a thin filling- a sliver of salmon with some unidentifiable spread on one, a tasty chicken salad on another but minimal filling, and a cucumber on the third (a thin slice of cucumber!). Pastries were lacking and so tiny as to not deserve a spot on the tray. One of the two of us inquired as to additional courses. None. We had to eat as soon as we returned home. We bought a slice of pumpkin cheesecake and a brownie. Didn't realize there was a convenience fee added on until after the bill was paid, with an overly generous 18% tip. Total bill. $105.64. Stay away.

What a hidden local treasure! I've been wanting to come by this shop for awhile and finally stopped in for a evening wine tasting/chocolate pairing Estate Planning course. It was such a fun evening. We tasted 5 different chocolates and each were not only delicious, but beautiful. The shop also hosts cooking/baking classes and afternoon high tea. The owner is a trained pastry chef with a passion and gift for chocolate. The shop is adorable and they offer beautiful truffles that would make a great gift. They also make hot chocolate that is supposed to be incredibly delicious and can't wait to try in the Fall.

Stopped in while my husband was having oral surgery nearby. The name fits. Such a delightful little chocolate and pastry shop. Had a hazelnut latte and purchased a slice of opera cake and a chocolate mousse to take home. All were delicious. The service was outstanding. The kind young lady behind the counter was so helpful and made excellent suggestions. Look forward to visiting again when I am in the area.

Beautiful AND delicious cake for my father's 90th. Dayleen listened to my ideas and created something extraordinary. It not only looked incredible but quality ingredients were used so everyone was asking for seconds.* FYI - I made the cake base seen in two photos

This review is specifically for the "tea" this establishment offers. It is awful. If you've ever had a proper tea in England, you will be sorely disappointed with this version. I write this to spare anyone from the total disappointment my mom and I experienced on Mother's Day. First and foremost, the tea was not hot. We requested that it be remade with hot water, but they never were able to bring us anything but warm tea. It was very hard to drink. So toward the end of the tea, I asked for coffee, hoping maybe they could make a good cup of coffee to accompany the desserts. However, the owner totally forgot about my request and never brought it out. We ended up taking most of the desserts home, and most of the dry scone, and I sadly ended up tossing them after a couple disappointing bites. They also misrepresented the offerings in the event description, claiming to serve Devonshire cream. Devonshire cream is a clotted cream made in Devon, which my mom and I adore, but the owner said she made her own version. Sadly it lacked the tartness of a true Devonshire cream and tasted more like whipped cream. There was no ambiance. Some of the tables had flowers, but ours did not. It was $97 very poorly spent. If anyone reads this and knows a good place for a proper tea, kindly message me.

Professionalism.Delicousness.Personality.I recently had both the pleasure of working with Chef Dayleen and tasting her work. There was a huge misunderstanding during one of the events that we worked on together (I am a savory Chef). When she was alerted to a possible problem with her work (which wasn't actually a problem, it turns out), she responded immediately with professional and pleasant zeal. She stood behind her product and that made a huge impression on me. She is now among the list of those who I refer to...And her cake? ((( FIRE )))I highly recommend.
