I was never much of a fan of seafood, but Fish House Vera Cruz made a believer out of me in the way they prepared and served their dishes. I shall miss this place. Happy trails to you...until we meet again.

The worst fish meal I ever had. Disgusting low quality, fried fish and I am certain the salmon I ordered for $34.00 was not wild- caught. Prices are outrageous for the quality of the food. Businesses should be held accountable for false advertisement. I do not recommend this place and advise you to go to another seafood place if you are craving a good seafood meal because you will not find it here.
I’ve been wanting to check out Fish House Vera Cruz for some time and I’m so glad I did. It was definitley like taking a step back in time. I’m pretty sure I was the youngest person there for lunch. I sat in the classy full service bar area since I was solo. I enjoyed a nice selection of draft beers. The clam chowder was just decent. Not as good as Anthony’s or even Brigantine. The bread service was excellent! I really loved those sourdough rolls. I also ordered a combination seafood cocktail which includes bay shrimp and crab meat. It was beautifully presented and a nice portion. I look forward to returning for dinner sometime and try a nice grilled seafood dish.

It was just great to dine inside with full service. Food was good..and a fair value. Update: I have been critical of the Fish House over the years for never changing their sides... and sometimes sort of "bland" fish. We went in last week for lunch with friends that love the place and I decided to order something different. So I tried the "Shrimp Skewers"... they were outstanding. Perfectly seasoned and charred over the Mesquite wood... I was very happy with the choice... and the service was excellent.

Party of 8 w/3&6 yr old. We had a Sun 1pm reservation and were seated in a pretty private area. Eric was very accommodating and attentive. The food was adequate, what you would expect for this caliper of restaurant. I had a bone in my fish. Never satisfying. And my fish soup only had salmon (w/skin... yuk. So i had to clean that off) and no other fish in the soup. The sourdough rolls were delish. And everyone was pretty satisfied with their meal. Except for over cooked broccoli
