Pretty good! An overwhelming amount of sushi roll options that made it extremely difficult to choose just 2. Only 2 because these are giant portions and almost wasn't able to finish the second roll.
I guess the name fits as now I gotta come back to try all the flavors I wanted to try. The food itself was nice and fresh. Great presentation.
The price for 5 people for sushi was also surprisingly low so that's nice too. Overall, a great place for some quick sushi.

The salad was nearly nothing but the center stalk of the lettuce. The tempura was burnt on a few of the more fragile vegetables. The salmon I had tasted like a microwave had a go at it. The rice was dry.
The service was ok. They had one girl cleaning everything and was friendly and the reason for the second start⁷ The waitress helping never checked on me.

Love to come here and order the vegetable sushi platter, and of the "vegetarian" rolls (we asked and the chefs said all the rolls on the vegetarian page are actually vegan). Hard to pick a favorite roll, but maybe the Alice in Wonderland (mushrooms, tempura tofa, avocado, asparagus, seared w/sesame oil). Also love the Herbivore Roll (cripsy onion strings), Asparagus Roll and Angry Tofu Roll (when feeling up for spicy). Pretty certain the miso soup and side salads are also vegan, which my wife often gets. I also like that the teriyaki is vegan. I like to add sriracha to it and use as a dip for the rolls. Lots of drinks available, such as sake, beer and wine (not certain which are vegan, I usually only get sake if anything).
Went today was served by Lainey and Mallory. They were super friendly and helpful since this was my first time dining here. They helped me find something I would enjoy and they were spot on.

I rarely give negative feedbacks but this one was well deserved. First off, I wish I took consideration 1 star reviews because they were accurate!I had a to-go lunch. The sashimi was the worst I have ever had. And the crunchy roll was fake. The salad: greens were brown!I had cheap sushi before but this was just a joke. And guess what? We didn’t have soy sauce with 2 to-go lunches! Congratulations.

Eating sushi here was an exceptional experience! The restaurant had a fantastic selection of rolls and specialties. The salmon, yellowtail, and tuna hand rolls were especially amazing, each bursting with flavor and freshness. It was definitely a memorable dining experience. The service by Matilda, was amazing and the chef was fast and amazing.

Our order was to go. Golden dragon and red dragon. The portions were small and the roll didn't taste good.Never again for us.

Great presentation on the boards, fish was sweet and on point, the wrapping could’ve been a little tighter. Attentive and funny staff.Atmosphere was open. There was some half booth seating available, no bar seats unlike a traditional sushi restaurant but the rest of the tables were open but no true booth seating.
We frequent the Hooked On Sushi in Carlsbad often. This location is a fast/casual type of restaurant. Food was of the same quality as with speed of service. However the price point was the same which does not reflect the quality of service you receive nor the atmosphere. For the money, the xarlsbad location is where its at. It also shares a parking lot with a chick-filet and In-and-out. What a nightmare!
Wheelchair accessibility: No problems with wheelchair accessibility.

Hooked on sushi was pretty good! Their options feel different compared to other sushi places but they also have the same classics you’re use to. There lunch combo is quite a good deal as well!
We use to love this location because the service use to be great but something has changed. They now always mess up our orders and are rued about it. Our last order they forgot to give us a bag and we had to go back and then they charged us for sauces and didn’t even give them to us. We won’t be coming back again. It’s just really sad because we really love the sushi and they were our favorite restaurant. They just don’t care anymore.
